It's the accommodation that makes Ockeridge Rural Retreats so special, says the site's family team – a point of view you'll surely agree with as soon as you arrive. For the units here have been manufactured to the family's own design, to provide luxury accommodation at hotel standards: think central heating, customised kitchens, wifi, Freeview TVs, bed linen provided and smart bathrooms kitted out with towels... Your luxury base is in Worcestershire, on a nine-acre site 20 minutes' drive from Worcester and down a peaceful lane with views over fields towards Little Witley. The Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are within easy reach of here; for city day trips, Worcester, Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham are all 50 minutes to an hour away. Country pubs serving food are within walking distance, but the glamping at Ockeridge has been fully set up for guests to cater for themselves on site. As well as kitchen areas, crockery and essential kit like kettles and toasters, each unit has indoor and outdoor seating for eats inside or alfresco.

Campers rave about the top-notch facilities, especially the cosy, well-equipped cabins with log burners and the cracking outdoor bar. Huts are beautifully fitted out, perfect for a rural escape, with excellent internal facilities and cleanliness. Amazing views, a great-value tuck shop and brilliant owner communication, with helpful directions, make it a faultless getaway.

Ashwood shepherd's hut (adults only)

Liked The huts are truly lovely. The views are amazing. Everything has been perfectly thought out. The huts have everything you need for that countryside getaway from the daily grind of life. The facilities inside are superb. Special mention to the tuck shop which is stocked well and very reasonably priced 😁😁. The cleanliness of the hut was great. The communication from the site owners brilliant- with the added touch of providing a text with exact location directions!
