Liked Proximity to pub, although if the beer garden was full it could be noisy. Food in the pub was very good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The site wasn’t too busy when we stayed but if it was full the single ladies toilet and shower could mean a wait. Facilities were fine and very clean. Short drive to Bridgnorth, preset town with a busy market on Saturdays. Much Wenlock a pretty village about 15/ 20 mins drive away worth a visit. WiFi good in the Pub, phone signal ok but not fast

From the manager: Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review following your stay with us. We’re really pleased to hear you enjoyed the convenience of having the pub on site, the food, and the friendly and helpful service from our team.
It’s also great to hear you found the facilities clean and enjoyed exploring the local area, including Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock. We’re lucky to have so many lovely places to visit right on our doorstep.
We appreciate your comments regarding the toilet and shower facilities and understand that they can become busier when the site is full. We’ll certainly keep your feedback in mind.
As for the beer garden, we are a working 16th Century Inn, so when the weather is good and the beer garden is busy, there can naturally be some atmosphere and noise — particularly as many of our camping guests enjoy being able to relax and have a drink just a few steps from their pitch! 🍺😊
Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back to the Halfway House Inn in the future.
Warm regards Peter, Kiki & Team

Liked Access to site 24/7, was able to check in late. Lovely clean facilities.
Disliked Not that anything can be done about it, but the noise from the hounds in the neighbouring farm.

From the manager: Hi Marnie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review following your stay with us. We’re really pleased to hear you appreciated the 24/7 access, especially being able to check in late, and that you found our facilities lovely and clean.
We’re sorry that the noise from the hounds at the neighbouring farm affected your stay. As you mentioned, unfortunately this is outside of our control, but we do appreciate you mentioning it and understand that it can be noticeable at times.
Thank you again for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to the Halfway House Inn in the future.

Would not stay again due to lack of dog areas for walking off lead
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Good pitch
Friendly people on site .
Reasonable toilet and shower setup .
Disliked Poor setup on waste water and toilet waste, poorly constructed wood frame falling apart and toilet waste not to any standard.
Dog friendly in pub but no proper area for dog walking in the area.

From the manager: Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed your pitch, found everyone friendly, and were reasonably happy with our toilet and shower facilities.
We are sorry to hear that you felt there was no suitable area for dog walking. We do, in fact, have a 3-acre field available for guests to exercise their dogs, including off-lead walking. We’re disappointed that you didn’t get to make use of it during your stay, although we do wish you had asked a member of the team, as we would have been very happy to point you in the right direction.
We’re also sorry you were unhappy with the waste-water and toilet waste facilities. We take this feedback seriously and will review the areas you have mentioned.
Thank you again for your comments. We always welcome the opportunity to help guests during their stay, and we’re sorry we didn’t get the chance to do so on this occasion.
Warm regards Peter, Kiki & Team
Worth a short stay
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked A convenient, clean and quiet site. It was a bonus to call into the bar for a cold pint after a long and hot journey. The staff friendly.
Disliked The pitches are quite narrow. Sad that though real ales were advertised as an incentive there was only one on offer, and (a small issue but worth a mention), I was disappointed that my meal came with bog standard frozen chips as opposed to the more appealing "skin on fries" advertised, but then our neighbouring diners were given them.

From the manager: Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We’re really pleased to hear that you found our site convenient, clean, and quiet, and that you enjoyed being able to relax with a cold pint after your long and hot journey. It’s also lovely to know that our team made you feel welcome.
Thank you as well for your constructive feedback. We’re sorry that we had run out of the skin-on fries that day, which is why your meal was served with an alternative. We appreciate you mentioning it.
Regarding the real ale, you’re absolutely right that we usually advertise a wider ale offering. However, during the current heatwave we’ve seen a significant shift in demand towards our super-chilled draught beers and cider. To make sure the ale we do serve is always in the best possible condition and turnover remains fresh, we’ve temporarily reduced the range to one real ale.
We really appreciate your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for another stay.
Warm regards,
Peter, Kiki & Team

Liked The staff were very friendly and the evening meal of salmon was the best I have ever tasted!
Cosy, quaint pub.
Pitches each had own water supply and EHU.
Not the camps problem but the nearby howling of dogs was upsetting, having said that the dogs did stop, presumably when they were fed their food.
