What customers say
This chill, eco-friendly campsite has heaps of room and ripper country views. Blokes reckon the owners are top blokes, always keen to lend a hand. The basic facilities are spotless and tidy – think compost loos and showers. Perfect for hitting the local bush and towns, with the Cherington pub just a stone's throw. Campfires are a go, fire risk permitting.

The pitch we chose was flat…
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked The pitch we chose was flat enough not to need our ramps, and it was close enough to the toilet/shower trailer for the bedtime dash.
Toilets, sinks, showers were all clean, well stocked and sensibly late out. Being 6’ tall, I did bump my head on the toilet door frame more than once, which my wife found amusing.
Saturday we walked anticlockwise up onto hills to the north and round to Cherington and Stourton, stopping in at The Cherington, where some very nice bar snacks, hot chocolate and a few beers, helped pass the time while we warmed up and waited for the heaviest of the rain to pass.
Our plan was to sit out by a fire, and watch the stars in the evening was not possible due to storm Austen, a missed opportunity, we plan to go back for.
In the end we had the site to ourselves, which always makes a site feel special to us, but it was probably because everyone else had checked the forecast.

We absolutely loved the spacing around…
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked We absolutely loved the spacing around the pitches, it felt like you had your own private area. The surroundings, meadow, little winding paths mown to your pitch, the hedgerows, tawny owls calling at night, swallows and house martins flying over! Facilities were perfect and clean and we love the eco aspect.
