What customers say
Top-rated, roomy, clean farm campsite with eco-focus. Friendly staff, heaps of space, loads for kids (animal feeding, trails). Love the woodland spots, quick check-in, great shop/cafe. Some found it pricey, noisy planes, and lacking hot taps near showers/recycling. Compost loos were okay.

Clean campsite perfect for those with younger children
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Visited with my wife, 6-year-old and small dog.
- Great for families especially with young kids due to the included access to the farm
- Open campfires allowed a huge bonus
- Facilities were clean and in working order throughout the stay. Never used compost toilets but they were cleaner than some chemical ones I've used.
- Staff very helpful
- Great pub across the road
Disliked - On our first night there was a larger group next to us who were a little loud until 11-12.
- No amplified music was annoying, although did notice some campers having it at low volume which I found acceptable. Only one group had it a bit louder than acceptable.
- Not the farm's fault but the farm is in the direct flight path for both Luton and Stansted airport, meaning late at night and early morning you are awoken by the sound of airplanes.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the farm. We do ensure all our facilities are cleaned daily.
We are sorry you were disturbed by a larger group, we do have our security number that can be called and they will come and help assist you. We do not allow any amplified music as a quiet campsite, we will review with our security regarding others playing it. We are really sorry to hear you were so disturbed by planes going overhead, they don’t come all the time but come over us when the wind is coming from the west and normally not too loud as we are 20 miles from Luton, but can be heard if it’s a still day.
We do hope we can still welcome you back to the farm.
Excellent camp site and farm a stone's throw from London
Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)
Liked What a gem! I don't think the internet listing fully does the place justice. Set in a beautiful old village, you drive / walk straight in to the entrance area with cafe and shop opposite what looks to be a lovely pub. The shop is stocked with local farm produce at reasonable prices alongside some camping essentials and typical shop bits. Very nice cafe too that locals were also frequenting. In this area, there are containers being rented to small businesses and it all has a really wholesome atmosphere - a potter amongst other things.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. You can buy fire kits which I bought outside shop hours from the attendant. As they didn't have one made up, he offered to drive it to my pitch so I arrived back from my dog walk to him pulling up - fantastic service!
Lovely location - easy and quick to get to from London - perfect for a stress free bank holiday break. The campsite is set on a farm as the name suggests. You can wander around the site at any time (when you're camping - you're given a wristband to identify if you're camping / coming for a day visit to the farm etc) so I enjoyed 6am walks with my dog greeting the farm animals as they were let out from their night's sleep. A proper joy with piglets to top it off! Plenty of animals to see, crops to look around (with pick your own which we didn't do) and a woodland play areas for the kids.
You can choose to pitch either in the field areas or woodland. We chose the woodland and found an end-of-the-road pitch which felt very private and intimate for our 4-tent group. Having wire fences around 2 sides meant it felt very safe for the group's two 2-year olds and dog. Perfect location as it was a hot weekend and we experienced dappled sun - very pleasant. Just remember a good mallet as the woodland area (obviously) is pretty hard and root-laden.
The field areas also looked nice. Great for large bookings. We saw areas marked out for these with bunting. Open, spacious and uncrowded with kids running around enjoying the freedom. It is a quiet site so we weren't disturbed by pumping music.
Clean amenities. The toilets are compost toilets and the use of "a scoop of wood shavings" after every visit meant they never smelt. Very hot showers and cold taps for drinking water and washing up. Groups of these amenities are located frequently around the site.
You can tell that we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend. We will be visiting again. (My photos aren't the best but hopefully gives an idea of the feel of the place.)

Great stay in the forest with a fabulous farm visit
Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)
Liked Great space in the forest camping, was away from the larger groups of visitors and was able to sit and watch bats flying around at night.
Farm is an excellent visit, brought animal food and was about to feed the animals as we walked around.
Disliked Personal dislike of the large groups of campers, quite intimidating especially with dogs on long leashes which ran towards you as you walked past.

Lovely site, returned second time. Stayed…
Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)
Liked Lovely site, returned second time. Stayed at the woodland part but be aware some of the camp spots are slightly smaller. We got lucky with a bigger one. In busy periods might be left with smaller area but not an issue, still very pleasant. Closest toilets to woodland area is compost toilets but one of the cleanest ones we have been too. Has a sink and soap outdoors to wash hands after toilet which was great

Beautiful scenery, plenty to do, friendly staff
Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)
Liked The site itself is beautiful and the woodland wild camping is really well organised and thought out. There’s quite a bit to do onsite - woodland walks, kids activities, veggie gardens, cafe, farm shop, pub across the road with excellent food.
Disliked The number of emails we got beforehand about the rules and request for the signed agreement. We understand why, but it felt heavy handed. That said, we will be coming back! The place is lovely.

The site was clean as were the toilet facilities (I had my reservations as they were compost toilets but needn't have worried)
Lovely being able to walk the farm trail which is also included in your pitch price.
