  • Spacious Gloucestershire pop-up site at a farm in Kempsford
  • On the edge of the Cotswolds, 10 minutes' drive from Lechlade
  • A short walk from the Thames Path, village pub and Fairford Air Show
Park yourselves on a pitch at Willow Farm and you’ll be well placed for all sorts of outings in the Gloucestershire countryside and the ever-popular Cotswolds National Landscape. Handily, this pop-up farm site is in the village of Kempsford, which means you’ll also be able to walk to the Thames Path in just a few minutes – and the local pub is also pleasingly close by for a refreshing pint once you’ve finished the day’s hike (or any other activity you may have planned). If you’re visiting the area for the Fairford Air Show, it’s also useful to know that it’s only a 10-minute walk from the farm to the show entrance. Both Lechlade and Fairford are about 10 minutes’ drive away for when you want a few more town amenities (including riverside pubs and pretty picnic spots), but the site’s surroundings are very much of the rural variety – you’ll look out over some quiet farmland while you’re here, and you’ll be nice and close to walking and bike trails through picture-worthy scenery too. Day trips might take you to classic villages and towns, historic estates or family attractions that the kids will love. Back on site you’ll be staying on several aces of secluded fields, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and set their kit up as they like (awnings, gazebos and barbecues included). Shared facilities include wifi, a washing-up area and a fridge for all your picnic bits, as well as showers and portable toilets. Dogs are very welcome as long as they’re kept on leads and supervised.

Lovely Cotswolds spot with great views & owner. Top-notch washing up, communal kitchen, and clean loos. Village pub nearby. Rough track in, some found it tricky to find initially. Airbase noise occasionally.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Wanted somewhere fairly close to Home for a one night stopover in our VW camper van. This place was great, nice walk to the local pub had a few drinks and then ordered a takeaway from Lechlade. Toilets are like home from home and there is a communal kitchen with a kettle which came in handy for coffee the next day Great little find. We didn't read the map properly before arrival and parked in the wrong space. Lovely lady came and explained and moved us on but all politely and totally our fault.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Friendly owner, flat pitches, short 5 min walk to pub.

Disliked Very basic campsite. The toilet was a single portaloo (think festival), we didn’t notice any washing up facilities or otherwise.

From the manager: Gosh sorry you didn’t see the purpose built block with normal loos a shower and full kitchen complete with washing machine. The portaloo is the emergency option !

Liked Liked the quiet setting, beautiful sunset over the camping field. Shower and toilets were excellent - so clean! We visited the local pub which is 5 mins walk away. I love that you can choose your own pitch.

Liked Great site, very peaceful. Really good facilities, loved being able to use a well equipped kitchen. Lovely shower.

Disliked It would be great if the porta loo in the bottom field was given a good clean as currently everyone is avoiding using it.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked Toilets and shower facilities as well as access to a shared kitchen and washing machine were all excellent. The view over the fields was spectacular - like something from a Constable painting. Had a lovely chat with the cleaning lady who was very helpful with ideas of things to do in the area and at our destination. Open, flat area to park and very private, peaceful spot. Had access to wifi up at the house which was helpful to plan our travels.

Disliked It's a bit difficult to find and we went into 2 wrong driveways until we were given directions.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site

Liked With the instruction video on google it wasn't hard to find the site. And the tree root on the way there could be easly managed. I loved the fact that there is a camp kitchen with some facilities for lightweight campers.
It was quiet (except for the airplanes) and the field offers shade for a change! It's in the Cotswolds, so an excellent location for touristst and the pub with good food is very closeby!

Disliked I wouldn't really call this a campsite. Its more like staying in the back of someones garden. Its not professional in that sense.
The facilities are not up to having more than a few campers on site. And everything seems under construction, not yet finished.
It was more expensive than other sites, but I couldn't see why.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for writing. I am confused as you refer to the site as a field which is correct and also as a garden, which is not correct. It is a field separated from my own very large garden by a former canal. I am not sure what was under construction.. The kitchen is fully kitted out and includes a washing machine, all in the correct places.......
