What customers say
Great views & chilled vibe, with legends staff & a handy cafe/bar. Campfires & BBQs okay. New loos (Spring 2025) are top-notch, but older reviews mentioned dodgy portable dunny situation and no hot water. Most spots are a bit sloped.

Unpowered grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked We came to cross gate Farm as a couples one night camping. We really enjoyed our visit. We live in Manchester so the location for one night was perfect. The campsite its self was lovely and clean and well kept. We were on the hay field which was adults only, we had a perfect view of the fishery, hills and surrounding area as well as being close to the amenities. We had our tea at the cafe which was a lovely pizza with chips and a beer each. Very reasonably priced.

Liked The staff are amazing, the toilets and showers are constantly cleaned. The food was beautiful and the animals and views topped it off.
Disliked I personally feel the fire pit hire is a bit expensive at £15 when you don’t get any firefighter or matches to go with it.
