Liked: Had a lovely time here, stayed for just the 1 night, we were given a choice of where we would like to put our tent, ed the owner what great, he came to check on us a few times, offered us a deal on fire wood so we could make a fire at night time, the weather was lovely, we even had a picnic table next to our tent - we will definitely be back again
Disliked: Nothing - everything was great

Liked: Good value, stunning views and well maintained.
The site is not too busy and the location is ideal. The stepping stones area was so rammed with people but 10 minutes away at the site felt like a retreat. Use of firepits with wood and firelighters was an extra but great value bonus.
Ed doesn't put rules everywhere and people are treated like adults. He's such a great bloke, a true gent who cares.
If you have a van 1 inch off the floor, I'd check out the drive first.
Don't expect luxurious and immaculate facilities but everything you probably need is here.
Don't presume that elec hookup is available. I didn't enquire but I didn't anyone with it.
See you again Ed.
Disliked: Going back home

Liked: Fantastic views towards Thorpe Cloud especially from the top of camping field. Farmer Ed was very helpful. Decent firepits for hire at reasonable cost. Toilets and shower were clean.
Disliked: The facilities were very basic and wife especially would have liked mens/ladies separate loos and showers. The men's toilets were a couple of Portaloos. No hot water for washing up in the 1 sink. Invest some in bringing this up to better standard and you can have a 10/10 experience. The upper pitches are on a notable slope, advertised as such but made it more challenging cooking and sleeping!

Liked: We had an excellent stay, right from the start Ed the Farmer was welcoming, always able to have a good laugh, he would regularly check in on all the guests, each evening he would drive round with fire wood to purchase. On our first evening as we had just finished setting up he came round to let us know that a Thunder-storm was on the way which we appreciated.
We had some friends (who lived in the area) come to the campsite on our final evening out of courtesy we asked Ed if this was okay and he was more than happy to let them join us.
Despite the facilities being basic and unisex this wasn't an issue, the showers were lovely and warm and just what you needed after a long day.
Quiet time hours were adhered too as well
Beautiful views from the site as well!!
