What customers say
Top campsite! Clean amenities, roomy spots, top staff. Great views, chill vibe, handy for walks & Alton Towers. Fire pits for hire, small shop's a bonus. Bit windy sometimes, iffy phone signal.

Friendly helpful staff, clean facilities
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely site, excellent toilet facilities, good pub down the road.
Disliked If you are in the second field it is a long walk each time and at night times to the toilet block. Would prefer to pick your own pitch

Liked Had a lovely few days here. Toilets and showers clean. Lovely staff. Site nice and quiet and didn't feel overcrowded. The atmosphere in evening was great and loved that quiet time was from 11pm as some sites are earlier than this which is too early when you're enjoying yourself on holiday.

Great campsite ,near enough to civilisation but close enough nature.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Great campsite with a nice atmosphere.
There is a little shop on site.
Massive flat pitches with no restrictions.
Surprisingly quiet through the week at peak time.
Good views.
Clean toilets, showers and pot cleaning stations.
HOT water at all times.
Staff were really really nice.
Aldi is 5 min down the road so you don’t have to worry about keeping food fresh.
Just over 10 min from Alton towers.
Loved the chickens having a mooch round in the mornings.
Loads of sites to visit near by like thors cave and the stepping stones,Carsington water,Ashbourne is ok for a short walk around a nice little town.
We only visited the area for Alton towers,I like the lakes but I was stunned by the drive from the campsite to mams tor(about an hour away),the scenery was top notch and I am a convert to the Peak District, can’t wait to come back.
Disliked One thing that done my head in was footballs getting booted around and hitting tents.
play any games you want but football should be a no go around the pitches, especially after 9pm.
Also,if 11pm is quiet time the fires should be out as well at that time,it only encourages the drunks to stay up past that time and once it gets to 12 o’clock ish they realise no one is stopping them and the noise ramps up.if you want to stay up all night and get drunk as farts and ignore your kids then your backyard is the place to do that 😂
Site was genuinely lovely other than those two things.
I’m not sure if there is a playing field,if there is there should be some signage saying no football around the tents use the fields.
Fires out by 12 at the latest as a rule and you have a PERFECT site.
I was going to send my criticism to the site manager but thought it best to put it here just in case my points can be a deal breaker for people.

Very welcoming wardens with a handy little shop. Had everything on hand if you forgot anything. Spacious tent pitches, plenty of water points and electric hook ups. Lot of room at the pot wash and shower and toilet block had plenty of room and was very clean. Really enjoyed our say and will be returning.
