Δεν μου άρεσε False advertising for the fully services grass tent pitches. They say “ Min 12m width × 12m depth”…. Only 2 out 5 would qualify for that size. The other 3 are much smaller. Our 4 person tent barely fit in the allocated space. And also they are not advising on the website that you can’t bring the car in to even unload. Not going back there.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Wow 1/10. Thank you for pointing out that the min pitch size was incorrect on the Pitchup listing. The sizes were mistakenly copied over from the Grass with Electric pitch type, which are very large indeed. The Pitchup listing now has the correct dimensions for this type of pitch. Cars are kept away from the pitches in order maintain a peaceful atmosphere. The parking is only 10- 30 meters away (depending on the pitch allocated). This information has also been included on the Pitchup listing.

Δεν μου άρεσε I’d says this site is not suitable for families with kids and tents who look to stay at the site more than go out. The drainage system produces smell.

Μου άρεσε Genuinely nice place to visit. Kids love all the animals and walks along the canal. Casual fishing in the canal is a plus. I got my PB for perch there!

Δεν μου άρεσε Uneven surface makes it harder to find a good spot for a tent. No problem for caravans or campervans.

Μου άρεσε The site layout is very good. Facilities are good. Generally happy with one week we've spent there. Good location on the South coast of Devon. Use leaflets at reception for ideas on what to keep yourself entertained.

Μου άρεσε Very relaxed atmosphere. Some of other reviews highlight that this is not for those who are looking for onsite entertainment etc - this is for those who want to get away and find a bit of piece and quiet. We liked it and will go back!

Δεν μου άρεσε In the main field the cars have to be parked outside, which is safe and no problem but is a bit of an inconvenience.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thanks for the review. Cars are allowed on the field for unloading and loading. Parking of cars off the field is one of the conditions of our planning consent. We don't really mind the restriction as it means far less traffic on the field and many campers prefer that too. Brocks' Paddock, our second camping field is located opposite the farm entrance, and is not subject to this restriction so campers who are happy without electricity can pitch there instead if they want to have their car by their tent.
