Μου άρεσε Well kept grass and site. Decent Pitch with no strict limit on size on tent. Fire pits allowed and logs available to buy. Play area for the kids although starting to look a bit tired. Good showers in ladies and good clean toilets and showers. Good location near shops, recommend the Bellflower pub for families, just up the road. Great having the fishing lake and good stock of fish to keep you busy.

Δεν μου άρεσε No longer animals on site but still advertised on the website which was a little disappointing for the children. Advertised they sell fresh eggs but that appears to be no longer a thing. No on site fridge or freezer for tent campers with no EHU to refreeze cool blocks. Water pressure in the men's was hit and miss for the showers. Slightly higher price point considering some of the missing things. Not a negative but the on site function room could be turned into a really good, poor weather indoor facility and communal area for people to gather etc.

Μου άρεσε The site was in a great location, 15 minute walk into Sedbergh where there are some nice pubs with great food. The site is also 30 seconds walk from a river where you can swim or fish. Tent pitches were well kept, short mown grass and generally quite flat, each with its own firepit. The site has a barn round the corner from the campsite which has a stage and music (we visited bank holiday weekend) and a bar, you can also get food from here. The site owners also came round daily collecting bags of rubbish which I thought was really good. The on site facilities were generally kept clean and tidy and were fit for purpose.

Δεν μου άρεσε Although the facilities (toilets, showers and wash sink) were generally okay, there could be more of them and slight improvements for the size of the site. There are 3 toilets and sometimes you had to queue for them. The toilets could also do with a little bin in each. People were leaving some rubbish in them (not the owners fault obviously) and toilet roll tubes often ended up on the floor and wet and soggy. A bin in each toilet would solve this problem. There were 2 showers which were spacious but again, for the size of the site, people were often queuing for these, they were also affected (temperature and power) by the wash sink outside. Lastly, there was 1 sink, for the whole site, I think this needs increasing in numbers also.

Μου άρεσε Friendly helpful staff/owners who greeted us on arrival and explained where to go. The camping grounds are well maintained with nicely cut grass and lovely scenery (either looking out to sea or surrounding woodland etc.). The toilet/shower block is really nice, well maintained, cleaned and stocked. The 'Scar bucks' croissant and coffee trailer is handy and has some nice refreshments available. Highly recommend a trip down to 'The Old School Brewery' for a drink and great food which is just a short walk (25 mins) into Warton either down the road or on country paths.

Δεν μου άρεσε Nothing to dislike that is the owners fault, these are more 'be aware' pointers. The site is quite exposed if there is a Westerly Coastal wind, get pitched over the back of the hill. There is no village shop in Warton so if you forget anything, its a trip into Carnforth (45 minute walk), the site would benefit from a little shop for essentials in future maybe. No biggie but I couldn't locate the freezer facility, some regulars said where it used to be, but it had moved and I couldn't find the owner to ask (at the time).

Μου άρεσε Friendly, welcoming staff. Relaxing site. Great toilet facilities that were nice and clean and free to use (some sites charge for showers). Good access to drinking water. Nice and close to Settle, 20 minute walk. Great that you are allowed fire pits and can use your own logs if you have them, or you can hire fire pits and buy logs there. (Some sites either don't allow fire pits or you can only use purchased logs) Plenty of space on the tent pitch fields and you can drive your car to your pitch.

Δεν μου άρεσε Only improvement I could suggest compared with other camp sites is that the grass on the tent pitches is slightly long. Not a big issue but it's the only thing that I would improve. I saw this mentioned on other reviews and didn't see it as an issue, but it can make getting things like bbq's, tables, chairs level, and light items inside tents fall over etc because of the long grass under the ground sheet.
