Μου άρεσε Lovely. We visited on a busy bank holiday and the showers and toilets remained clean. I don't know how the couple who run it manage to run the site and their gas business alone - and yet remain cheerful. Lots of energy, no doubt! Of course, them coming from the West Midlands helps - all the best people are born there(!)

Δεν μου άρεσε I would have liked Prosecco on tap at the pitch...and yet no campsite I've ever been to has provided this yet! Shocking!

Μου άρεσε Good location, near to Dawlish Warren beach (a 10 minute walk - but a bit of a climb!) On the bus route into Dawlish. Friendly staff. Up-to-date loos and showers were cleaned often - a must in high season. The site's printed information sheet was very useful - with post codes for useful places to visit and the cost of nearby car parking. Reception always had plenty of 20ps for the shower. A single 20p was usually enough for a shower - 5 minutes. A good value-for-money no-frills site.

Δεν μου άρεσε Crowded (but it was high season and they were fully booked). Our 7mx4m tent only just fitted on the pitch and our car had to go slightly off our pitch. The single shower/toilet block wasn't enough when the site was full (although the staff did a sterling job keeping them all clean). There were queues.

Μου άρεσε We had a big, level pitch, with well kept grass and hedges. The toilet block was clean. You didn't have to pay for the showers and there was plentiful hot water. We'd asked to be pitched away from the toilet block and playground - and we got what we asked for. The children on the playground looked like they were having a whale of a time - they seemed happy with the facilities. The site wasn't near any busy main roads and so was quiet. The mobile homes on site looked good - new and well maintained. I didn't try the Wifi (hence the lack of feed back on it).

Δεν μου άρεσε There was no one on Reception when we arrived and we had to wait 25 minutes for someone to appear. There was an open sign on the door, but it was locked. The lady who came pointed out that there was a contact number on the door (which was true, but because it was above a taxi firm's card, I'd initially assumed it was an alternative number for taxis). I did eventually phone the number on the door, after trying the number on the booking confirmation without luck. She then came straight away. At the end of our conversation, I felt like I should be apologising to her for interrupting her lunch. She wasn't rude, but she certainly wasn't apologetic about keeping us waiting. It's a shame, because the site was generally well-kept, reasonably priced and in a good location, but it's enough to put me off going again.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review. We are sorry you had to wait on arrival. As you are aware we are a family run holiday park and all work is carried out by the 4 members of our family. We can not, as discussed with you on arrival, be everywhere at once and so we have a sign in our reception window explaining if we are not there to call one of the 3 numbers and we will be with you straight away, we also suggest that you knock on our home which is next door to reception.We are always on the park 24 hours a day for 11 months of the year. We are still unsure why you didn't call one of the numbers on the door or knock at the bungalow as calling the office number when the office was closed wasn't going to get you an answer, hence our note with three alternative numbers. If we are not in the office we may be having lunch, have popped to the loo, cutting grass, cleaning toilets, helping other customers, carrying out maintenance etc... Despite this we are really pleased that you where impressed with all our hard work maintaining the grass, level pitches and hedges, ensuring the facilities are immaculate and the playground area is well maintained. Its a shame that as we had popped to lunch and you didn't call the numbers suggested that you wouldn't recommend us to others, but we wish you a lovely summer and hope you find the perfect park in future.

Μου άρεσε Brilliant dark skies - we saw loads of difficult-to-see deep sky objects through our telescope - hardly any light pollution and fantastic low horizons! Shower block was lush - actually went in there to warm up a couple of times. The framed 'factoids' on the back of the toilet doors kept me amused (I made sure I went in a different cubicle every day to read a different one!) Can recommend the breakfast baps - egg yolks were perfectly cooked to our requirements. The resident cat ranked high on the Cute Scale! Very friendly and efficient owners, who could usually be found doing 'stuff' to improve the site.

Δεν μου άρεσε Couldn't get Wifi in our field (but then we were far away from the reception building to avoid light pollution, so I suppose we couldn't have it both ways!)
