Μου άρεσε The overall campsite is one of the most beautifully kept and maintained we have ever stayed in. The whole area is lush and teaming with wildlife and the meadow and pond area is perfect for relaxing and walking the dog. The Large Geodome is deceptively spacious inside and very stylish and comfortable. Although a bit hot during the afternoon (no natural airflow) there were two electric fans which did the job and fortunately, the weather cooled down nicely at night during our stay letting us sleep pretty well - or at least about as well as you can expect 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog to sleep all in one room and in strange beds :)

Δεν μου άρεσε We were a little disappointed to find that the beautiful green lawns, trees and plants you see surrounding the dome in all the pictures are only present around the smaller dome. Our one - the large one - mostly just has gravel and a brick wall at the back though it is a little greener at the front where you park your car. The power tripped on our last morning while trying to make an early breakfast. Probably just a relay somewhere but we couldn't find it and since it was still a bit early to call the wardens, we just departed there and then to have breakfast elsewhere.

Μου άρεσε This site is exactly what we look for on a camping weekend: Beautifull setting with stunning views and walks (and a neighbouring field of friendly cows which the kids adored), handy location for exploring the surrounding areas, clean and functional facilities, not too big and therefore quiet enough for the kids to get to sleep by 9pm, and an owner that is friendly, understanding, helpful but not intrusive.

Δεν μου άρεσε The only very minor niggle was the slight slope of the pitch, but it didn't really detract from an otherwise perfect experience.

Μου άρεσε Adequate, reasonably clean facilities in a nice enough location.

Δεν μου άρεσε When asked to state our preferences, I had requested just that the pitch be relatively flat and, if possible, quiet. Well, the slope was only slight, but quiet it was not. When we explained on arrival that wanted a quiet pitch because we have small children whom we try to get sleeping by 9ish latest, we were treated to a lecture on campsite rules, totally missing the point. Although there were ample empty pitches and the overall site is quite large, they had decided for some reason to pack everyone together (in a area that appeared to increase the distance of campers from the owners' house). Our immediate neighbours were a football team from plymouth and their families staying in a complex of 3 or 4 large tents - nice enough people, but of course they had a lot to laugh and shout about until about 1:45 am. Also, all the taps are those annoying push ones with no delay meaning that you have to apply constant pressure to produce running water making it pretty much impossible to properly wash your hands.

Μου άρεσε Very friendly and helpful people. Beautifully maintained grounds, more fitting of a stately home than a campsite - especially with all the peacocks strutting their stuff around the tents. Plenty of space between pitches. Toiltets, showers and washing-up facilities always spotless and with plenty of hot water. Lovely swimming pool, nicely sheltered from the wind, and the water, despite not being heated, was warm enough for us to last 30 minutes before turning blue :)
