Μου άρεσε I have been to this site many times but after a break in camping due to personal reasons I hadn't been since the handover to new owners. Can safely say I still love this place! This time I travelled by motorcycle with my nephew & I'm grateful there is still the fridges & freezers available for guest use. I am unable to carry a large cool box so this meant I could still plan ahead with food as opposed to buying daily; tesco supermarket will deliver an online shop to reception!! The toilet & shower facilities were always clean despite us arriving towards the end of a busy weekend. The plugs in the little 'dressing room' within the shower block meant that despite having no hook-up; again a downside to motorcycle camping, it meant we could plug in essential devices & powerbanks to charge while washing up (obviously at our own risk). The little shop selling slushie drinks was very much appreciated midway through pitching a tent in motorcycle gear midst a 32° heat wave. Motorcycle theft is rife currently & despite not being allowed to park at your pitch I felt completely safe with my motorcycle being parked where it was & will definitely recommend this site to other bikers. Its fab for a get away either as a small (quiet) group or touring alone.

Δεν μου άρεσε We did have a slight issue with one of the fridges not being as cold as expected which meant some food went off quickly. I actually forgot to bring this to the attention as it was the night before we left. I'm sure it has been noticed & rectified already. Also, not really a dislike but I wish there was a little box, maybe within the kitchen, for guests to leave unopened or small no longer needed items for future guests. I had an unopened roll of kitchen towels & a package or antiseptic wipes that I left on the side hoping someone may have found them to use!

Μου άρεσε Amazing little pod in a perfect location. I was travelling on my motorcycle and specifically chose somewhere off the beaten track. Travelling in March I didn't have the best weather but snuggling down with the heating on after a day of riding was super cosy. Everything you need within the pod. Planning on coming back at the better time in the year to explore some more.

Δεν μου άρεσε Only downside was the issues with road closure on gospel pass meaning exploring Abergavenny required a much longer trip. However I know this is out of anyone's control but I wasn't aware until a few days before arrival.

Μου άρεσε Wow! What a site! I am debating whether I want to shout about how much I love this site so others can visit or keep it a secret for myself. This was my first trip as a solo female traveller on my motorcycle using backpacking gear; previous experience camping has been with family in an XL airtent. I wanted a friendly site with a feel that i was getting away from it all, as opposed to a huge commercial site with rows and rows of close pitches. The pitches are set out amongst the forest so it gives the feel of wild camping with a fire circle at each pitch, the parking is close enough to your pitch it doesn't feel a trek yet far enough away that you are disturbed by vehicle noise of people arriving back. The facilities are basic in that it is 'just' composting toilets and a fresh water tap however the toilets were the cleanest composting loos I have come across and despite it being a hot weekend there was no smell. My only wish is that there was an easier way to properly wash your hands as opposed to alcohol gel. A little surprise for me was that my pitch was right below the flight path for flights inbound to Hurn airport; as an aviation geek this pleased me! I also wouldn't let this put anyone off as being a smaller airport the flights were not regular enough or at antisocial hours that it really disturbed you; I recommend downloading the flight radar app as its great fun for kids (and adults!) to see what planes they are and where they have been. I definitely recommend this site to groups, solo travellers and families with kids looking for an action packed trip. I will definitely be back.

Μου άρεσε Just returned from a lovely weekend break at irongorge camping, safe to say we will visit again. The owners are lovely and the site is just what you need; peaceful and simple yet clean and enjoyable. If you come in springtime you'll even see some lambs! The toilet blocks are clean with plenty of hot water and toilet paper!

Δεν μου άρεσε Only downside was nowhere to refreeze our ice blocks but it isn't the end of the world.

Μου άρεσε Brilliant site, friendly and helpful staff even lending us a mallet after ours broke. Good value for money and lovely setting, pitch where you like. Good facilities all clean and very usable. Nice area with plenty to do for kids, including Bourton on the water and Cotswolds Wildlife Park in close proximity. Fee included childs access to climbing centre, although we didn't use this as ran out of time! We were lucky to be on the site when a hot air balloon was being launched!

Δεν μου άρεσε Although the facilities were clean and usable there was a slight problem with water pressure in the showers, especially when more than one in use. Soap is provided in the hand washing area, however no towels or hand drier, which meant trying to remember a towel! Not a problem with the site, but no phone reception in the area.
