The people running the site were friendly and helpful. Very quiet campsite, no cars driving around at night etc. Lovely alpacas, cows and a horse, that the kids enjoyed looking at. 5min drive to the beach.

Some pitches (including ours) were not leveled, which made sleeping and setting up furniture tricky. Our pitch was also soaked in water (it rained a lot) forming a puddle of rainwater on the grass all around and underneath our tent.
The toilets could do with a bit more cleaning. Also the soap was not refilled for 3 days.

Lovely little gem of a place. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lass who gave us a complete welcome, explained where we were pitched and then after explaining the route to get there walked round to stand on our pitch. She apologized that there was currently only 1 toilet block due to the other block been under repair due to damage. The pitches weren't the biggest, due to the firepit been positioned where it was, we had to move our tent round a few times to get it to fit, but it worked okay.
So on unpacking the car....we had forgotten the hookup, it wasn't an issue, we could either lend one or hire one, i mean where have you ever known little campsites do that!! Amazing in my opinion and defo saved us the almost 4 hour drive home!
The facilities were spotless, we were more than impressed, there was even a fridge and freezer for guests to use. Again amazing, as that little coolbox is never quite enough!
First impressions always go a long way with me and the first impression we got of the campsite was the way we were greeted, as i previously said the lass behind the counter was lovely, from serving in the little shop, to greeting arrivals, seeing to people departing, cleaning the toilet blocks, delivering the wood, she did all this with a smile on her face. She certainly is an asset to the campsite and we will definitly 100% be returning.....maybe onto a slightly bigger pitch with the bigger tent and hopefully for longer, as my stay this time certainly wasn't long enough.

Location ,friendly owners ,spacing of pitches well laid out ,easy access on and off site .
Appreciated the owners acceptance to enforce the rules of the site to maintain a safe enviroment for their guests ,

Very clean toilets and bathrooms especially the new block. Pitch size with car space was adequate. Loved that we could do a bonfire. Solar motion sensing lights were helpful at night.

Clear rules but felt unwelcoming in how it was said. Could be more friendlier. More activities or kids playground would be welcome for the children.

Friendly owners, quiet campsite. Liked the firepit which was a good touch. Pitches were nice and spacious.

Nothing, would definitely return.

The meadow for kids to play & dog to run around.
The shower block that gave you your own toilet, shower & sink in each cubicle.
Level pitch.
Hot water & lots of sinks to do dishes. Also under shelter.
Recycling.
Well stocked shop.
Good location for seaside & lakes.

Toilet/shower block not clean at the end of the week.

Everything ,it's a working farm as stated,the staff were very friendly and helpfull ,coming round to see if alls ok.large pitches ,the fire pit was a bonus which we used as a small bbq,the beach is only 5 mins by car which is lovely, only a ice
cream, shop open at the time, just so peaceful and relaxing, further on around 20mins was the lakes which was stunning,had picnic and a paddle absolutely stunning.

Nothing ,no WiFi as stated which wasn't a problem,

Staff were brilliant and helped us out with queries as first time camping! Especially the daughter who we found very approachable and lovely. Site was clean and tidy.

Amazing campsite. Pitches flat and well maintained. Facilities basic but practical and clean. Accessible bathroom good space. Site suitable for wheelchairs although recommend a more robust one for the terrain in the lake district. Nice field for walking the dog. Great being on a farm and enjoying seeing animals in the fields. Shops and facilities close by. Definitely will visit again.
