We like rivieras, we do. The English one, the French one and even the alleged one on the Thames where the extremely posh boats reside... And the Italian one (beh certo, riviera is an Italian term), which if your geography teacher never told you, is the slice of coast between the Ligurian Sea and the mountains of the Maritime Alps and the Apennines. Beh certo, it's warm, it's sunny and it's all rather poetic: there are reasons why the likes of Bryon and Shelley hung out here... And in the midst of this riviera lies small and quiet Agricampeggio Le Sorbe, an olive farm in the hills of Ponente. It's just beaut here, surrounded by olive trees and with only a handful of pitches to help along riveria R&R. Guests can buy organic goodies produced on site like extra virgin olive oil, pickled olives, jam and a fair bit more. The Le Sorbe pitches are on graduated terraces built into the ground; campsite facilities include a modern amenities block with loos and free hot showers, a communal barbecue and fridge and a small vegetable garden.

On the A10 (Autostrada dei Fiori) come off at Imperia Ovest and at the roundabout take the exit signposted Imperia. Continue on the SS1 (Via Aurelia) and take the right turn signposted Sanremo. Continue towards San Lorenzo al Mare for approximately 5km and then follow signs to Pietrabruna, Torre Paponi, Boscomare (SP 45). After 5km, at the large bend, follow the road to Pietrabruna and then take the left turn to Boscomare (you'll also see the campsite's signpost on the right hand-side). Continue for approximately 600m to the campsite entrance (on the left).

Agricampeggio Le Sorbe is a short drive away from the three lakes and beaches, shops, bike trails and pétanque of nearest beaches Pietrabruna, and about 5km from the sands of San Lorenzo al Mare: from the latter, pedal the bike path from Sanremo to Ospedaletti. The villages of Boscomare, Civezza and Lingueglietta are a short drive away, while busier times can be had at Imperia province's capital city, also called Imperia and about five kilometres from Civezzia. The Cathedral of San Maurizio and the Old Town are both good options here for a day's wander, and if you're an olive aficionado dip into the museum here celebrating all things Oleaceae. The old village and small alleys of Torre Paponi are a ten-minute walk away.
