This is a firmly rural site in a peaceful countryside setting, but only five and a half kilometres from the handsome medieval town of Uzès and within 45 minutes' drive of the spectacular old piles of Avignon and Nîmes. Active days are accessed close by via canoeing and kayaking in the waters of the Gardon, within 15 minutes, or the rambles and climbs of the Regional Natural Park of Camargue within 40. If it's sandy days you seek, the Mediterranean beaches of Le Grau-du-Roi, Le Grande-Motte and Carnon are all within an hour and a quarter's drive.
Domaine Le Moulin Neuf is a friendly family site, set up for serene stays away from heaving crowds. It's mightily well set up for lazing around its grounds too, with a pool and a paddling pool to provide dips for all ages, and sports areas for football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, miniature golf and pétanque. In between all that, a well thought-out entertainment programme runs in high season for kids, teens and their keepers: think aqua gym, sports tournaments, family games, live music and intriguing-sounding musical dinners…
And speaking of eats. A site as well appointed as this does of course have foodie options at guests' disposal: a restaurant serves snacks and quick bites; a bar covers drinks, and a terrace is to hand at which to sip and sup.

From Avignon on the motorway A9 take Exit 23 - Remoulins - Pont du Gard. Follow directions towards Uzès and then Bagnols sur Cèze. Five kilometres after exiting Uzès, follow directions for Saint Quentin la Poterie. At the entrance of the village, follow signposts to Vallabrix, take the first road (Chemin du Moulin Neuf) on the right and follow it to the campsite.
On the A9, from the Bollène exit, drive towards Bagnols sur Cèze, then towards Nîmes, and follow to Uzès until Saint Quentin la Poterie. At the entrance of the village, follow Vallabrix, take the first road (Chemin du Moulin Neuf) on the right and follow it to the site.
From Nîmes follow drive towards Uzès, then Bagnols sur Cèze, then Saint Quentin la Poterie, then Vallabrix and follow the road on the right (Chemin du Moulin Neuf) until you reach the campsite.

There's loads to do around this Languedoc-Roussillon location, from exploring ancient cities and UNESCO sites to horse riding and golfing a short drive away at Uzès. (Or pootling along for demos and souvenirs at the 20 pottery workshops of Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, a couple of kilometres away.)
First-rate UNESCO destinations are within an easy drive of the site, including the spectacular and world-famed Pont du Gard (15 minutes' drive), the ancient Roman aqueduct crossing the Gardon on a meandering route of almost 50 kilometres. Nîmes, another spectacular must-see, has ancient sites galore including a splendid amphitheatre still in use 2,000 years on, and Avignon has the papal palace of the Palais des Papes and another UNESCO-listed bridge in the Pont Saint-Bénézet/Pont d’Avignon.
The Camargue and the Provence regions are each around 45 minutes away.
