Μου άρεσε We had a lovely stay. Staff are super friendly. The site had good facilities always clean. (Obviously no many people this time of year). It was great to see all the cows, chickens and other animals too. We would definitely go back.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review. Taking into account the facilities open to you to look at our animals and enjoy this special place getting 8 out 10 is not acceptable to me.
Maybe I shall start to charge to look at the animals. I was away and according to my staff you were made welcome.
I think anybody reading this should think carefully about commenting and wanting to come back. It would have been better not to have commented. Scores have a real effect on our overall rating .

Μου άρεσε We received a friendly welcome and were shown the site facilities, which were good if a bit unusual.
Our visit was in January and we were the only people there, but I can imagine in the summer the place is buzzing, with a community space for music, a forested area for cookouts and all the rare breed animals to view. It was beautifully peaceful and quiet.

Δεν μου άρεσε We arrived early and the gate was shut. We tried calling all numbers with no success at all. A good loud pound on the horn brought someone to help but it was an anxious few minutes as we were blocking the lane.
The lane was very narrow and pot holed. Signing wasn’t great. We drove past it the first time. Thankfully we didn’t meet any other vehicles.
The two hard standing pitches were accessed via a narrow chicane between a metal post and a large boulder. Why? The grassy areas were waterlogged but manoeuvring without going on them was hard.

We work really hard to maintain our high level of standards.
The gate washout because people like the security.
I recall you, you turned up as it was getting dark on a dismal winters day.
Maybe you need some more driving lessons and stick to the main roads.
Unbelievable.
Just as well you won't be back, not sure what damage you might do to my site!

Μου άρεσε Beautiful spot to stay at, and an evening walk in the woods lit with fairy lights was magical. Owners were lovely and site was peaceful. The facilities were well equipped and clean

Μου άρεσε What a fantastic site ! And a very warm welcome with an interesting walk around showing us where everything was. Pitches are perfect size and are nice and level. We stayed over Xmas so it wasn’t busy but it must be fantastic in the warmer months especially if the ‘yard bar’is open. Must be a great social space. Information pack gives you a good insight into what the farm is doing for the survival of rare breeds. Definitely worth staying here.

Μου άρεσε Very peaceful. No background road noise. Went in my Campervan. Level pitches. Lovely fluffy (and muddy) chickens. But they give themselves a bath every morning in the pond 😊 Fairy lights walk around the wood. Good clean showers and washing up facilities. Will definitely return. Thank you

Μου άρεσε Beautiful, quiet setting with great facilities.
We loved meeting the cows, chickens and ducks. The barn and washing facilities were a real bonus. As was hearing the owls hooting at night and waking up to the pheasants visiting for breakfast.

The area is perfect for exploring. High Weald and Bewl Water were fantastic.

Highly recommended.

The works adjacent was not building works.
The reservoir used by the adjacent fruit farm for water storage had problems with the banks and bun-ding crumbling - urgent remedial works was required.
The work is now complete.

Μου άρεσε Wow, just wow - what a wonderful find.
We booked on a whim, as a friend was jumping from a plane at Headcorn Airport & we wanted to be close by there.
We knew it was a working farm, but we wasn’t sure what to expect. We were greeted by Ruth, and was offered a choice of pitch, Ruth explained where everything was and said to knock at the house if we needed anything.
We settled in, and then went for a walk around the farm, it was wonderful to meet all of the rare breeds on the farm, Pigs, Sheep, Cows, Highland Cattle and lots of sweet chickens and other birds running around the farm.
The woods, attached to the farm are lit up with fairy lights, which make it very pretty at twilight.
There is a lovely mini kitchen to use, with washing up facilities, a microwave, coffee machine, washing machines and tumble dryers. The two bathrooms available, have lovely large showers, with very hot water and are beautifully clean too. I didn’t even spot any spiders 😀
The following day, on our walk, we met little Daniela, the highland cattle baby and also Steve, the Sussex mule sheep. They were super friendly and loved a head scratch and a chat. Plus the family dogs, Scruff, Molly & Ben - such friendly dogs.
We also had a chat with Norman, who was busy cutting the lawns, he told us a little bit about the farm and the work that goes on.
We spent the weekend enjoying the farm and the surroundings, all the staff are super friendly and say hello and are happy to chat about the animals too. The animals are so well looked after. I was amazed to watch them getting their winter pens ready, as they are not left out in the fields in winter.
Ruth & Norman were just lovely, and helped us, with a little personal issue we had with our van. Both of them are available on the farm at all times and are happy to help.
If I could give this place marks out of 100, it would get 100. We really enjoyed our stay and we will return.
