Syntes om Smashing very spacious site with the quiet canal marina as its focal point. 2 lovely wet rooms with shower (with fully re/movable head, and adjustable height, hurrah), loo, washbasin and big heated towel rail/radiator, which was such a treat. It heated the whole space, warmed the clean clothes you'd be putting on, and dried your towel somewhat while you dressed and cleaned up. The exact bit of luxury that makes a huge difference in otherwise quite simple, rudimentary even, facilities. The expansive rural views and non-busy feel of the site help your brain feel relaxed and at peace, (despite the road noise from the nearby A38, but I did find I was able to tune that out, which I often can't.)

Syntes ikke om Even with off-peak season lower occupancy, the recycling bins were overflowing. More needed please! The surrounding farmland is grass and arable, and there was a bird scarer going off during daylight hours very nearby. Can't be helped, but it upset my gunshy collie dog, and meant I didn't get to do her walks from the site and along the canal, as I'd planned. (No problem finding other places to exercise her, Lichfield is very blessed with parks. Darnfield Park is one of her favourites and quite nearby.) It won't stop me using the site again, so I hope to be able to do the circular walks from the site another time, when there aren't crops needing protection.
