Syntes om We loved our stay at North Thorne. Andrew & Sarah were lovely hosts. They meet us on arrival to help take our things to our accommodation. We stayed in the Foxglove safari tent (5 birth) & although it was a bit windy on our first night it settled down for the remainder of the time & we were very lucky to have fantastic sunshine. We really enjoyed playing in the games barn & seeing mummy duck & her ducklings on the pond. Having our own dedicated fridge & bathroom to use in the communal barn was great & the gas stove in the tent was ideal for our morning cuppa. The tent has a small solar panel that powered a few lights & a USB socket (There was also plenty of plug sockets in the barn available for additional charging). The tent was very cosy with a small sofa & dining table. The beds/bedding was very comfortable & we all slept really well. We loved the location of North Thorne! It felt very special driving across the bridge of the Whistle pound reservoir to get there & to have such a beautiful walk on the doorstep was amazing. We also got to hear the Howler monkeys at Exmoor Zoo that is just down the road which was also very lovely. We would definitely recommend this glamping site to others & we hope to stay again next year!
