Syntes om Quiet site in September. Stayed for 4 nights and had mostly to ourselves. It's a basic site but that's what we were looking for. Toilet and shower clean and in good working order. Nice hot water. Bags of wood available for campfires. The site owner was lovely and friendly and there for anything if needed. Enjoyed watching grazing horses in the field we overlooked instead of watching TV! If you like walking the site is in walking distance to the village which has a community shop and pub. There are also regular buses to York which only takes just over 30 mins.
