Syntes om Had a really lovely stay at North Thorne. The location is perfect. Far away enough to feel like you've really disconnected, but not so far that going anywhere is difficult. The safari tent is situated in a really big green field overlooking the kitchen barn and the valley beyond. The skies are amazingly dark and the zoo animal noises are a unique feature! Beds are super comfy and a choice of three places to sit with food was a luxury. Lovely shabby chic decor and no chance of being cold (there was a 15 tog duvet!). With a fridge to ourselves in the barn and our own lockable bathroom, it was nice to leave our bits and pieces by the sink. Plus the kettle is handy for a cuppa. Hosts are genuinely lovely and very happy to help out. Charging electronics is best done in the barn, so worth bringing your chargers (did not feel worried about leaving things to charge there). But probably worth bringing a charge pack and a rechargeable lantern or two. :)
