Syntes om There was a well stocked shop on site, and the pool/sauna/steam room is free to use and limits guests to hourly slots so it doesn't get busy.
There was an acoustic singer for Thursday evening, a one hr slot, she was very good. The pint was nice in the bar and it's dog friendly.
Syntes ikke om I won't be returning as we were moved to another camp after the first night, 30 mins down the road for our own safety, due to ongoing issues the camp was having with a large group of long staying traveller guests (as i understood it). The police were on site our first night and then we were asked if we would accept another campsite due the issues escalating. We left immediately, and I did appreciate that the staff did not leave us there in amongst escalating troubles, thank you, though I must leave an honest review.
I wasn't particularly happy anyway with the campsite as the toilets were a mess, you had to pay for WiFi, it was in a signal blackspot, the changing room showers didn't work in the leisure centre, and £16 was on the dear side for an average pizza in the bar (which seemed like a frozen pizza warmed up). There weren't any decent, immediately accessible by foot, walking trails either. I jumped at the chance when they asked if I could move site (Coldingham site was far superior).

Syntes om Clean and modern site, with large pitches, and easy to get to. Great, safe trail for doggy walking to the beach and to the shops. Great on site hub in the mornings for coffee and cakes, and the icecream truck visits each day.
Syntes ikke om Only 2 sinks for potwashing, and so there was a bit of a queue on sat evening. It wouldbe handy to have additional toikets/showers around the camp, which couldbe accessible when main block is locked for cleaning. The gents could do with a deep clean too.

Fra bestyreren: Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed our clean, modern park, spacious pitches and convenient location. It's great to know you made the most of the walking trail into Hornsea with your dog, and that you enjoyed our on site café and the daily ice cream van. Thank you also for your constructive feedback. During busy periods, we appreciate there can occasionally be a short wait for the pot washing facilities, and we'll certainly keep this in mind as we continue to develop the park. Regarding the shower and toilet facilities, our amenity building is closed for a short period each day so our team can carry out a thorough deep clean, including the drains and all areas of the facilities. This daily closure is an important part of maintaining the high standards of cleanliness we're known for. The toilets are also checked periodically throughout the day, although unfortunately we cannot control how other guests leave the facilities between these checks. We were therefore disappointed to read your comments regarding the gents' facilities, but we appreciate your feedback and will continue to do everything we can to keep them in excellent condition. Thank you again for your review. Katie and Team

Syntes om Large grass pitch, on a freshly cut lawn, it was extremely peaceful, and as there was only half of the pitches being used we were all nicely spread out. I appreciated this as the pitches dont have privacy screens. The shower block was clean and had hot showers. My pitch was night next to toilet block which was handy, a dish washing sink would be handy here too, as it was quite far from my pitch.

Syntes om Great size pitch, privacy, peaceful, hot showers, decent electric hook up, proximity to derwent waters.
I would suggest a display for local, safe walks, particularly the safest route to Derwent Waters, maybe at the wash block. I unfortunately turned right out of camp and followed the bottom route, there are no paths. Instead, go out of camp and turn LEFT. There is a path the owner put in and then a much safer track all the way to the waters (i did a loop, so thankfully discovered on my way back in, next time, no loop, i'll just use same path in and out lol). Great spot though, will revisit. It was nice to have a safe and peaceful sleep. Nice pub next door that serves food. Have supplies, as no shops in walking distance (though uber eats deliver groceries, which i ordered, after a last minute extra night stay 😄)
