Syntes om If you’re looking for a budget friendly campsite to use as a base for exploring Norfolk, then you can’t go wrong To start off, I think it’s worth mentioning that we only paid £15pppn to stay here on a non-electric pitch in late August, so on this basis, we definitely got our moneys worth. The campsite is small and very basic, with only one shower and two toilets for the entire site, though surprisingly, there were never any queues and the shower was powerful. There’s free WiFi’ on-site too, which was a bonus. The campsite is located in a small town/village with plenty of local shops and food outlets including cafes nearby. The site is next to a pretty marina with plenty of picnic spaces. You can cut through to the marina via a path from the campsite though it was pretty overgrown with nettles, so coming out of the site and walking a few meters to the marinas main access, is a much better option.

Syntes ikke om The photos do not accurately reflect the state of the campsite and the pictures of the marina are misleading as it makes it seem as though the site sits directly next to it, especially when it comes up as a site where you can wild swim, which it doesn’t and you can’t. The pitches are very close together, with no space in between for privacy. This wasn’t a huge problem for us as the site was pretty quiet when we stayed, though would be a problem if it was full, I’m sure there’s regulations about this! There is lots of potential for this campsite to be much nicer and better maintained as currently it looked very tired and run down.
