Syntes ikke om Toilets and showers need to be in the same field and what’s with the limited times to have a shower this I’d so do wrong, yes I get you’ve got a genie going for the showers but changing to electric would stop all this. I didn’t even get a shower because of the limited times and small shower area which could have been built massive given your not limited on space. Too much noise from the over head flight path, roads in the distance which were busy and then early farm noise bleeping reverting sounds, was so glad we didn’t book got two nights.

Fra bestyreren: Hi Stephen, this is a simple in style 'pop up' campsite as advertised and all information is available before booking. Due to this being a 'pop up' campsite we must follow guidelines regarding electricity. The shower times poster is available to see before booking in the photo's section. During your stay the showers were available from 6pm -10pm and 7am-12pm (checkout time). We have flexibility on shutting off times, we do not strictly turn the facilities off at exactly 10am or 9pm we do our best to accomodate our campers and their needs. There was a total of 9 hours shower time available with 5 showers. As advertised it does not state that it is anything more than a simple camping field with 360 views of the Peak District. We allow campers to pick their own pitch so proximity to the facilities is chosen by our campers not us. Our campsite is also advertised as part of a family farm not a secluded campsite. We are doing our part to preserve water and most importantly look after the Peak District.

Syntes om Nice empty field and great views. Shower was far better than I thought it would be, it's a pity the toilet roof it's the same as some good light coming in.

Syntes ikke om No owner on site or contact details provided, as we had to pop out after setting up we missed the owner so have no idea who owns it or how to contact them. Pub next door is closed which was a real surprise and reason why had to pop out for more items to drink and eat whilst there. Gate has to be open and shut all the time, and if it's windy doesn't stay back and can catch our car when leaving which did ours so wasn't happy about that, but again nobody to speak to about this. I wouldn't say it's really in hebden bridge as took ages to get back to the centre as the small road is tricky in places. Toliets could be improved as urinals are open for both men and ladies to see when entering the toilets this shouldn't be the case.

Syntes om Site was nice and quiet, plus easy to find.

Syntes ikke om Pity the local pub has closed, but nothing the site owner can do about that. Few improvements I'd suggest is for the outside sink reduce the size of it way too big, plus the hot water kept going on and off so you end up wasting more water than using. Shower head probably could do with changing as it's not very fast and you find you have to hold it just so it gets water on your full body. Big improvement needed in this area, the place where you empty the chemical disposal point is far by the worse I've every used, usaully this is a toilet or open drain with a lid on it, where you have to open one of the holes on the full septic tank which gives you the awful view of what's in there, this isn't what I wanted to see at all and the small is awful. I get charging for electric, but as long as you don't see people using loads I'd keep it included.

Fra bestyreren: I have just returned from site to get feedback re the shower as i was concerned it was malfunctioning. All i spoke to said they were happy with its output but also pointed out that it is rare to find a shower without a button to press or money to pay and as much hot water as you need. If you had struggled it would have been wise to contact me at the time to find out if there was a problem with it? You had a quick response when you sent txts regarding the bus so no reason to not have rung or txt if problem with shower or when you saw me on site? The sink is big because the idea of it is to put your own washing up bowl in it - the taps are push button to stop them being left on. Particularly the hot water, as again you dont have to pay for it. Chemical waste points are what they are nothing unusual about ours. In all the times I have opened the trap ive never seen anything but mucky water full of blue chemical. Sometimes there is an odour when its hot and the tanks are due to be emptied. Re the electric, its a lot more work for me but due to huge energy price increases it was the only way to keep pitch prices down - but you didnt message me before leaving the site to pay for yours so in effect, it was included! I make myself available either on site or via txt to ensure everyone are happy campers but you cant please all of the people all of the time.

Syntes om The site was clean and quiet and well maintanced. There were a few random picnic benches next to some pitches but ours didn't have one so no idea how useful they were.

Syntes ikke om There was only a few tours on the site and instead of speading people out, your all given pitches next to each other when more space would have been better. Found the owner to always be hovering and about each time I looked out of the caravan, for us we would pefer to be left alone to enjoy our stay. We received no advise on what was local in the area. Early Sunday morning about 9am we could hear a tannoy followed by cars racing which seemed very odd and close, within 30 mins the noise got louder and louder, then as we were driving off you could see car racing in the distance.

Syntes om Nice site with great views, and the owners comes to greet you when you arrive and offers you which pitches are still availalbe, as it was late ish when we arrived he offered 1 of 2 at different ends, also helpful by telling us where everything was. I did wonder about the mixed toilets as we have an older daughter, but wasn't an issue as it's clear to see when busy and the site isn't very busy so usually nobody there when I went. Also to point out the showers were warm and plenty of water, none of this messing about with the stop start button, swtich on and have as long as you want. Not much around, but easy 15 minute / 30 mins drive to the coast where you'll find plenty, but this site has lovely views and nice place to just relax.

Syntes om Nice quiet site with easy access to york, we went to the park and ride down the road which was £5 for the day. Toilets well looked after plenty of hot water when showering, no need to wait, even a basket to put your toiletries in whilst showering instead some sites which make you put them on the floor. The couple that run it are always there on hand to help or answer any questions you may have. The guy showed us to our pitch which was helpful, top service as he even supplies a flag for you to park on so the van is more level.

Syntes ikke om I know for covid reasons the toilet doors are left open, but given the window is open I'd suggest closing the door as it didn't feel very private when women were walking by to their toilet.
