Tilføj oplysninger om din virksomhedWelcome to the outdoor life in a gorgeously green and nature-filled area – but with a whole bunch of extra bits and pieces to make it a more comfortable experience. EuroParcs Reestervallei is in the midst of the huge forests of the Reestdal, a couple of kilometres from the village of IJhorst and close to the border of Drenthe and Overijssel.
As you can probably imagine, that makes this location an excellent one for getting out and about into peaceful natural spaces – you can take walks through the surrounding forest, cycle past flower-filled meadows or head out onto the waterways of nearby Weerribben-Wieden National Park. And to top all of that off, it’s a 10-minute drive from here to a natural swimming lake with a sandy beach area and playground.
Giving you somewhere comfortable to stay while you explore all this are the safari tents at EuroParcs Reestervallei – they make a great choice for a family camping holiday without any of the hassle of putting up a tent. Each one has its own kitchen, bathroom and outdoor deck, plus beds made up – all you need to do is turn up and switch into holiday mode.
Getting into that mode should be easy enough – without even leaving the site you can have a swim in the outdoor pool, play a game of tennis or miniature golf, or relax with nibbles and drinks from the snack bar. There’s also a playground and a petting zoo on site to entertain the kids, and various essentials are covered, including bike hire, laundry and wifi.

Lokale seværdigheder
There are plenty of walking and bike routes in the area around the site, and if you’re staying a little longer you can also plan outings to De Weerribben-Wieden National Park for hikes and boat trips or to Dwingelderveld National Park for marshes and moorland (both about half an hour’s drive).
Taking in some of the area’s history and culture is a good plan too, whether you’re looking way back into the past at the ancient Hunebedcentrum (45 minutes’ drive) or checking out traditional village life at Museum Staphorst (10 minutes). A boat tour around Giethoorn (half an hour) will take you past 18th-century farmhouses and traditional bridges – and you’ll learn why this water-based village is known as the ‘Venice of the North’.
If you need days out for the kids, take a trip to meet the animals at Wildlands Adventure Zoo (35 minutes) or try out all the rides, the shows and the subtropical swimming pool at Slagharen amusement park (20 minutes).
