Stecadò Glamping

Spectacular scenery is all around Stecadò Glamping in Imperia. At the top of your to-see list should be Apricale (20 minutes’ drive), a hilltop medieval village centred around Castello della Lucertola with stone houses, narrow streets and views over the Maritime Alps. No wonder artists have descended upon the village for inspiration over the years. If you’re keen to spend as much time in nature as humanly possible, you might want to remember the name Rocchetta Nervina (25 minutes), where gorge trails lead to turquoise pools. For something more challenging, there are several hiking paths on Monte Toraggio (40 minutes), a 1,973-metre-high mountain in the Ligurian Alps. Those who won’t be able to rest without taking a trip to the Italian Riviera can track down a gorgeous little cove called La Spiaggetta dei Balzi Rossi (45 minutes). Menton (55 minutes) is only a little further west, in French territory, and has a medieval old town with an 18th-century bell tower, museums and several beaches.
