Camping Les Marsouins

A 15-minute stroll from the site, spectacular Argelès sur Mer is a rightly famed Catalan seaside town around this part of the French coast, known for the longest beach in the Pyrenées-Orientales, lively bars and clubs, and watersports such as scuba diving, sea fishing and windsurfing. Hiking, cycling and nature spotting are also easily accessible from the site, starting from Argelès to the nature reserve of Mas Larrieu, via several coves and the hamlet and beach of Le Racou. You could also wander from town to Valmy past the 13th-century Massane tower, for spectacular views and eagles overhead. Five kilometres from Argelès is the port town of Collioure, home to another scenic stretch of beach as well as a busy Old Town, 13th-century castle, Church of Notre-Dame-des-Anges and colourful old buildings among its hilly streets. The Spanish border is within easy driving distance of the site for day trips.
