Syntes om Perfect escape. Campsite was clean. Toilets were clean. Showers were spotless. Cleaned everyday. Facilities were amazing. Place to hose down wetsuit.

Syntes om Cleanliness of facilities was fantastic, Jayne & Mike are really friendly and helpful hosts. Food trailer cooking set meals and breakfasts was delicious and reasonably priced. Pitches were flat and the site was clean and tidy.

Syntes om Clean facilities, spacious showers with hot water. Quiet area (especially at nights as during the day plenty of kids playing in the middle of the field) , short drive to a beautiful beach.
Breakfasts available and served by friendly people. Fire pits available.

We are committed to quiet time which is one of the reasons the showers shut down at 10pm, which in addition to promote quiet time, it also allows deep sanitisation of the facilities, hence the reviews about cleanliness.

We appreciate that this will not suit everyone, but past experience has demonstrated misuse of the showers after dark, so it is something that we are not looking to change anytime soon, but we appreciate your feedback and hope that this will not put you off visiting in the future.

Syntes om We have just returned from an amazing stay at the old stables. The hosts were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, we arrived a little early but were still able to pitch up after contacting the hosts ahead of our arrival. I really like that the hosts have a no nonsense approach, it’s simple - just don’t be an idiot. Very child friendly site, our kids loved it, lots of families visiting. Location is amazing, short drive to local beaches & Hayle village centre with lots going on. On site facilities always immaculately clean and hygienic. Lots of storage space in freezers for ice block rotation. Really loved the food bank donation box for non perishable items, we were able to leave food items behind knowing that they wouldn’t go to waste. Waves food van was excellent, the staff in there were absolutely wonderful people, so lovely to chat with them. Amazing ice cream from Sayde’s, if you see this ice cream van - just run, it’s a long wait but it’s so worth it & what a lovely genuine guy who was a delight to chat with. We really loved our trip here, unfortunately we had to cut it short a night early due to bad weather, but we would definitely love to return again. We highly recommend renting a fire pit on site, this is a great idea & saves a lot of room in the car. We also really loved Puss Puss, the friendly little campsite cat! Thanks Jayne & Mike, what a gem of a site you have.

Syntes ikke om Cars driving too fast across the field at times, however my husband did hear Mike giving someone a warning after this. Just be respectful to the site and other around you and you won’t have a problem

We are so glad that you had an amazing stay with us and you found us to be friendly and helpful. We strive to give all of our guests a great stay and work tirelessly to ensure that the facilities are always clean and hygienic.

Like you we don’t like food that is perfectly edible is thrown away and we started the food bank donation to try and limit what was being thrown into the bins. The food bank has been very glad to have the food that is donated to it.

We will pass on your compliments to the catering vans.

It’s such a shame that you had to cut your trip short because of the weather, but it is great that you would like to return in the future and we would love to host you again.

Syntes om Great place to stay - one of the more organised ones on my travels around Cornwall with a designated location to pop the tent box(number 3) Made a change from the frustrating driving around the field looking for the perfect level view! Good hot clean services for toilet showers etc
Always nice to have the option of a coffee / bacon roll on site in the morning which they do 10/10 would stay again
