Syntes om Loved this campsite. Great views. Really good ‘back to basics’ campsite. Immaculately clean. Phone charging facilities and a few basic food supplies are great thoughtful touches - especially for cycle tourists.

Quiet,scenic and perfect for quick night away.

Syntes ikke om Cars just driving up and down the field to the facilities, not really far to walk, just lazy.

Needs to be some structure to vehicles moving around.

Fra bestyreren: Hi Tracey, thanks for taking the time to write a review and for staying with us. We have signs asking cars to drive slowly on the site and we have 5mph signs also. We have also spoken directly to anyone we have actively seen driving faster than they should or to remind them. It really is reliant on people following and adhering to instructions and is not a common occurrence. I have to admit is a shame that you have chosen to penalise us in your rating for something that is ultimately not in our control but reliant on guests common sense, adherence to signs and as you rightly said their willingness to overcome their laziness. Anyone who has mobility issues has always parked closer to the facilities and has discuss this with us prior to booking. We hope you will come and stay another time.

Syntes om Simplicity done beautifully. Love the kind attention to detail and ease of booking. Peaceful field, great amenities and wonderful view/sunsets.

Syntes ikke om Everything is on a slope albeit gentle. Bring wedges etc to level out vehicles/tables if like me you carry a spirit level in your head :D

Syntes om loved our stay, me and my two kids had a fantastic weekend. loved the site very clean and super friendly. so quiet and peaceful, kids lots of space to play. we will definitely be back next year

A lot of the pitches are on the side of a hill, thankfully we had a choice of pitches

As a pop up campsite we are very limited in what we are able to offer as temporary structures and our listing does state that we do not have showers so I am sorry if you were not aware of this. Most of our campers also heat water on their stoves for washing up so being unable to have hot water hasn't been an issue. We are looking to possibly put in a gas shower next year. Also the site is approx 3 acres and 2 of the acres are flat, with a slight incline up towards the toilets and facilities. Just wanted to clarify that for anyone reading your review as 'side of a hill' could be a little misleading, but glad you were able to find a space that could work for you. Enjoy the rest of your summer and thanks again for staying with us!

Syntes om Lovely clean, peaceful campsite. Stayed 2 nights with my dog, lots of space and only a 15min walk to the local pub. Away from the main road so nice and quiet at night. The perfect spot if you enjoy wild camping but like the basic amenities aswell.
