Syntes om Lovely out of the way spot for a hand full of vans. Kind of dark sky area. Lovely walks nearby and a fab church and castle about 1 mile up the road in the next village. Sadly no local pub. The site had chickens wandering around a pleasant quietatmosphere. Detailed directions by the owners were a real help. Greeted and given all the information we needed. Weather was Aweful

We’re really pleased you enjoyed the peaceful, out-of-the-way setting, the walks and our dark skies – being away from lots of artificial light is definitely one of the advantages of our rural location.

It’s great to hear you explored the local area too, including the church and castle ruins nearby. We’re also glad our directions were helpful and that you received all the information you needed when you arrived. And, of course, it sounds as though the chickens made an appearance during your stay too! 🐔

We completely understand your comment about there being no pub or shop within walking distance. Being tucked away in the countryside does mean we’re a little removed from those amenities, but hopefully the peace, views, wildlife and walks make up for it.

Unfortunately, the Shropshire weather clearly wasn’t on its best behaviour for your visit! We’re glad you still managed to get out and explore despite it.

Thank you for your feedback about the shower too. We appreciate that it is fairly compact, although we’re glad everything was clean and in good working order. Feedback like this is always useful as we continue to look at ways we can improve our facilities.

We were sorry to read that you would have liked somewhere to wash up, as we do have a designated outdoor washing-up sink located by the toilet and shower facilities. We’re sorry if this wasn’t obvious during your stay, and we’ll take your comment on board as it may be that we need to make the signage a little clearer.

We’re glad you enjoyed having a wander down through the farm. We did smile at your comment about the dogs! They can certainly make themselves heard when someone walks past, but they are securely contained in their kennels – they obviously take their role as farm security very seriously!

We’re delighted you found The Shepherd’s Loft peaceful, welcoming and good value. We deliberately keep things fairly simple here, with the countryside, farm and surroundings being a big part of the experience.

We’re delighted that you found the peace and quiet you were looking for and enjoyed the views and walks. Being tucked away in the Shropshire countryside is a big part of what makes The Shepherd’s Loft special to us, so it’s lovely when guests enjoy those simple things too – the dark skies, an early morning sunrise, a countryside walk and, of course, fresh hen and duck eggs for breakfast!

And we have to say, “having to leave” is probably our favourite kind of dislike!

Syntes om Quite remote country location. Dark skies, great for stargazing. Nice quiet site, good facilities, elec and water on pitch. Very unspoiled and rural. Enjoyed staying here.

It’s especially lovely to hear you enjoyed our dark skies. Being tucked away in the Shropshire countryside with very little light pollution means that, on a clear night, the stars can be quite spectacular – definitely one of the advantages of being a little off the beaten track!

Thank you also for mentioning the country lanes. They do require a little extra care, particularly with a larger motorhome, which is why we always recommend following our arrival directions rather than relying solely on sat nav.

Syntes ikke om The facilities were limited for the amount of pitches. I would have thought there should be more. Unfortunately other guests kept leaving it messy which was not the owners fault.

We’re sorry that the behaviour of other guests affected your experience of the facilities. We work hard to keep the site and facilities clean and tidy, so it’s disappointing when they are not left as they were found.

We also appreciate your feedback regarding the number of facilities. As a small site, we currently have one toilet and shower facility, although we have already laid the concrete base for an additional toilet and hope to have this installed very soon. We’re always looking at ways to improve the site while retaining the small, peaceful feel that our guests enjoy.
