Syntes om A fantastic little site with lots of friendly, well looked after rescue animals. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed walking round to meet all the animals – horses, donkeys, pigs, a highland cow, parrots, alpacas, emus… the list goes on and on! And not least the resident gaggle of geese who provided entertainment and lots of laughs the whole weekend.

The staff are very helpful and accommodating and lovely to chat to. We sat and chatted to them for a while in the cosy bar on site and loved hearing all about the animals’ rescue stories and future plans for the site. The bar prices were very reasonable, and there’s also a small shop selling essentials and gifts – handmade by one of the owners! Also all very reasonably priced. Breakfast is sold each day and although we didn’t get chance to try, it looked and smelled delicious.

The toilets are spacious and kept clean, water pressure was great and there’s also a well-sized, enclosed dog play pen to let your furry friends stretch their legs and a well-equipped play area for the children.

We absolutely loved our stay here and will 100% be back again soon. This is a real gem and we couldn’t recommend it more!

Syntes om Lovely little site, a warm welcome and directed to our pitch, plenty of animals you can feed and see as much as you like which was our reason for choosing this site. Fishing, kids play park. Toilets were clean, showers were nice and warm. Had breakfast on sunday n the cafe/barwhich was great. Will hopefully go back next year especially once the new play area etc is upgraded. My son loved it and didn't want to leave. We made some great memories this weekend.

Syntes ikke om The geese are noisy in the early hours but its part of the experience. Other guests leaving sandy/mud in all over the shower room floor, not the owners fault at all, I cleaned it before and after our showers.

Syntes om The facilities were good and the kids loved being able to feed the animals and the park. The woodland walk we did nearby was lovely and we found all the staff to be lovely and friendly.

Syntes ikke om Our pitch was right near the animal pens and that meant there was quite alot of flies.
We knew there would be noise from the animals and were prepared for that and it was fine (never knew donkeys made that noise but ok) but we did not like the 5am wake up from the geese. You don't expect a great night's sleep when camping but 5am both mornings is just not OK. Can't the geese be penned in over night or even of they could be fed around that time up near the park so they aren't around the main campsite waking people up. Anything so that half the campsite isn't rudely awoken by them at 5am!

Syntes om This campsite is absolutely fantastic, our daughter's (8&6) loved being able to feed the animals, they really enjoyed the playground and playing in the dens in the woods, they even had a go at fishing with their Dad. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, one lady even offered to help clip our very nervous dog's nails. The showers were nice and hot and all the toilets and facilities were very clean in my opinion despite it raining quite a bit during our stay. Good pot washing station and there's a communal freezer for freeze blocks, a microwave and kettle also. The shop has everything you could have possibly forgotten or need in an emergency and there's also a separate shop for fishing supplies.

Syntes ikke om We liked everything about our stay so I'll use this section for a few little tips. Yes, the ground is sandy, bring a dustpan and brush or a little hand held vacuum and you'll be fine. Yes, the geese are free roaming but they are friendly and the goose poo is only really noticeable near the hard standing pitches where they tend to spend most of their time. Yes, sometimes the animals make noises...SHOCK! if you're after a quiet camping trip with no sign of any animals or wildlife then this is probably not the campsite for you.

Syntes om This was our first ever camping trip and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We came with our 6 children, and every single one of them had an amazing time. They loved being outdoors, having the freedom to play and explore, and of course enjoying the camping experience together as a family. The site was peaceful and welcoming, and it was lovely to have the space to relax and enjoy some quality family time away from everyday life. Most importantly, all 6 children said they really enjoyed it and have already asked when we can go camping again! We will definitely be back.

Everyone on the sit was so friendly.
If you have kids this is the place to go let them run free and be safe.
My grandkids absolutely loved it and want to go back again.
My granddaughter had a fit and Everyone was amazing and wanted to help me in every way they could and I thank everyone that helped me. 😊

The non ehu area is run with undedignated pitches so people can choose where they pitch. Most prefer this.
How often should be clean the toilets n showers.
They are done in the morning and in the afternoon with irregular checks thtough the day and before we go to bed.
Thing is we can clean these areas and the very next visitor can leave it in an unfavourable way
