Ellis' Hill Farm Campsite

Syntes om Peaceful setting, large open field with plenty of space.

Syntes ikke om Facilities weren't great- porta loos stank enough from outside i didnt dare open the door, other ladies toilet had a hole in the floor and was a bit untidy (actual physical toilet itself clean). We're used to basic but these seemed run down. Other reviews seem happy with them so maybe got them on a bad day??
Unclear where or how to check in as farm shop was closed. Owner actually only came out when saw us driving the site as he thought we were one of the "troublesome 4x4s" that drive the nearby ford!

We’re sorry that you found the facilities unsatisfactory. We are aware of some damage to the floor of the ladies’ loo, and we’re working on a fix.

As regards checking in, we are always around the farm somewhere and usually see guests as they arrive. If the shop is closed and you can’t see anyone, we advise guests to give us a call so that we can greet you.

There is, sadly, not much we can do about our proximity to Heathrow. The runway take-off and landing patterns do vary day by day, so some days are quieter than others.

Syntes om The solitude... Pitches were big and staff very welcoming and informative

Syntes ikke om Bit poking up thru tent which is understandable.. kids and dogs at 7am screaming (normal) and murder wasps in toilet block at 3 am oh and the car breaking lane to get to it ..again- totally understandable

Syntes om How safe and welcome me and my 12 year old niece felt. Audrey and Keith are perfect hosts who really care and want you to enjoy their land. We loved the daily check in from Digger, the campsite dog!
Lovely walks from the campsite, plenty of public footpaths.

Syntes om I loved getting back to nature and the relaxed atmosphere,
Keith The owner made us feel very welcome ,and the bacon butty from the cafe for breakfast was just the job
I was only there for one night with my grandson , and there was no rush to leave the next day
Just what we was hoping for , a lovely relaxed night away , lots of room to run around
