Líbí se Bolam Lake Camping Paddock is in a beautifully peaceful location, surrounded by fields with some horses. Very friendly owners David and Jill made us feel welcome and were very flexible in terms of booking, arrival time and offering us a fire pit (costs £20 to hire and includes the wood). The portaloos were very clean and there’s a wash up area. I loved that each pitch had a picnic table! I’m also interested to try the tipi tent or hiring the campervan with friends who prefer a bed. The site is opposite the campsite is the country park with lake and swans. There’s a nice 2km loop to walk around the lake. And it’s just over 30 min drive to Newcastle or the coast.
