Líbí se We love this campsite: it is a gem. The site is within walking distance of Hay on Wye (about 35mins) where there are fabulous book shops, great pubs and cafes. The site it self provides clean toilets, hot showers, washing up area with a fancy dishwasher and barrels of herbs dotted about for cooking with. The owners are welcoming and super friendly. We will return again.

Líbí se We recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend here with three generations of our family and it was the perfect place to spend quality time together. The campsite is set in beautiful surroundings, with mature trees, a gently meandering stream and spacious pitches that never felt crowded. The small play area was ideal for the children, who quickly made new friends while we relaxed.

Nelíbí se The only disappointment was the evening noise from passing trucks and trains, which took away some of the peaceful atmosphere. Despite that, it’s a lovely family-friendly campsite in a beautiful setting that we’d happily visit again.

Líbí se Set in a beautiful countryside location, this campsite enjoys a wonderful position beside the marina, making it a peaceful place to unwind. Waking to the early morning mist drifting across the water and spending the evenings watching swallows swoop overhead with a chilled drink in hand created some truly memorable moments. Nature is all around you, and while the sounds of geese and frogs can be quite lively at night, we found them all part of the charm of staying in such a natural setting. The campsite itself offers excellent value for money, and the setting is undoubtedly its greatest asset. One thing to be aware of is that the owner speaks very little English, so communication may be difficult if you need assistance. Despite this, if you’re looking for an affordable campsite in a beautiful waterside location, this is still well worth considering.

Nelíbí se Unfortunately, our peaceful stay was disrupted on one night when a party at the marina continued until around 3 a.m. The loud music and celebrations carried across the campsite, and no action was taken to reduce the noise, which was disappointing and inconsiderate for those hoping for a restful night’s sleep.

Líbí se From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The campsite also has a lovely café and has a lovely selection of ice creams The location is excellent, with a beautiful sandy beach just a short walk away. The rolling sand dunes are perfect for exploring, and the shallow, sheltered waters provide a safe place for families with young children to enjoy swimming in the sea. At the campsite, we particularly appreciated the communal cooking facilities, which offered a great alternative to cooking in our camper and created a welcoming space for guests. During our time, the campsite remained peaceful and respectful throughout our stay. A real bonus was the nearby farm shop, where we found an excellent selection of fresh local produce—perfect for preparing delicious, wholesome meals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a relaxing base with easy access to the beach, cycling routes, and local produce.

Líbí se This is a lovely, family-run campsite where the warmth of the welcome and genuine hospitality make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Set in a beautiful location in the heart of a charming village, it strikes the perfect balance between peaceful surroundings and convenient amenities. One of the highlights of our stay was the village bakery. Each morning brought an irresistible display of freshly baked breads, pastries, and cakes, along with ready-made rolls that were perfect for taking on our day’s adventures. The campsite is also perfectly positioned beside a beautiful lake with lifeguards on duty and a pontoon, making it an ideal place to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the scenery. During our stay, Germany were playing in the World Cup, so there was a wonderful sense of community and celebration as the match unfolded. While there were enthusiastic cheers when goals were scored, the atmosphere quickly returned to being calm and peaceful afterwards—a testament to the consideration shown by both the campsite and its guests.

Líbí se After a long journey, we received such a warm welcome and were even given the opportunity to choose the pitch that suited us best from those available. It was a lovely start to our stay. The facilities were spotless throughout, and one feature we particularly appreciated was the communal oven. We’d been cooking on our camper’s hob for most of our trip, so being able to prepare a proper oven meal was a real treat and something we hadn’t experienced at any other campsite. The location is fantastic, with the beach, bakery, small shops, restaurants, and a convenience store all within easy walking distance. As keen cyclists, we also loved the wide range of bike trails that start right from the campsite. We had a fabulous short stay as part of our touring holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this campsite to family and friends. We look forward to returning in the future!

Nelíbí se The opening times of the pool were very short, in the middle of the morning or afternoon when we were out, so we didn’t have an opportunity to use it.

The facilities were outstanding, including a well-stocked grocery shop, snack bar, restaurant, and very clean, modern shower, toilet, and washing-up areas. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, which was a great place to relax. The campsite is also fantastic for children, and we look forward to returning one day with our grandchildren. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked another RCN campsite for the return leg of our road trip before catching the ferry back to the UK. Highly recommended!

Líbí se This is one of the very best campsites we have ever stayed in, so much consideration to detail, cleanliness and comfort. All the facilities were first class clean and modern; the surrounding views were breathtakingly beautiful and it was so quiet, apart from a few farm vehicles but these guys work so hard to give us the food and countryside we love. . Another big plus was being close to the town to walk to for amazing little book shops, cafes and wild swimming in the river. Oh and lots of excellent places to eat out, including pubs.

Líbí se The location was beautiful, you could still hear the hum of traffic but the sound of bird song in the morning helped you to ignore it. The facilities were clean and well maintained throughout our visit. The shop was well stocked and the staff very friendly. Lovely site and worth returning to again.

Líbí se We were met with a very warm welcome and a lovely secluded, quiet pitch. The showers were hot and powerful and the toilets clean. A lovely campsite, perfect for our first stop off. We brought our bikes and found cycling in the area easy and great to access the local town (St Omer) along the river road.

Nelíbí se The restaurant was great value however, if you’re a vegetarian (like me) you will need to use the starter course with a side salad, as all the other dishes are meat. Sadly, the pool was unavailable due to a very cold, wet summer.

Líbí se The proximity and convenience to travel on a Friday evening, to break the journey to Cornwall, was perfect and we will revisit. We explored the area on our bikes and discovered some beautiful rides on quiet roads and peaceful villages, with welcoming cafes for midday treats. The site itself has outstanding views, and yes you can hear the humming of traffic from the A303, but the birdsong and views make you very quickly forget its existence. Showers and toilets were clean and looked after. Overall, a well recommended pitch up site.
