Eutierra

Set on the dramatic southeastern coastline of Sicily, Eutierra is a base camp for yoga and Pilates sessions surrounded by nature and sea views. You can also hire ebikes and mountain bikes to reach the surrounding fishing villages and beaches, have a go at catching reliable waves at the site’s surfing school 10 minutes’ walk away or try your hand at climbing the steep sea cliffs nearby. When you’re up for a wander in the countryside surrounding Santa Croce Camerina (10 minutes’ drive), you can look forward to fields full of colourful flowers in spring and blossom in fruit orchards in summer. If Sicily’s baroque heritage piques your interest, make your first cultural stop to admire Santa Croce’s 18th-century palazzi and Chiesa Madre church before lingering over an espresso in bar-sprinkled piazzas. There’s plenty of baroque beauty in these parts. Historic Ragusa (half an hour) is UNESCO-listed for its handsome upper and lower town adorned with baroque churches and a handsome cathedral. Further afield is Val di Noto (an hour and 15 minutes), another showpiece of stunning Sicilian baroque architecture.
