Camping Le Gréarn

Make the most of proximity to the sea with explores of the nearby islands of Île d’Arz and Île-aux-Moines. The former is an archipelago of nine islands that can be reached by boat from Vannes (25 minutes’ drive away, with a 10-minute crossing), while the latter is the largest of the Morbihan islands and can be reached by boat from Port Blanc (35 minutes away, with a 30-minute crossing). Once back on solid ground, explores can turn to some of the spectacularly scenic spots nearby, starting with the stunning Rochefort-en-Terre (35 minutes' drive), where cobbled streets wind between stone buildings and out onto spacious squares. Hols not complete without tripping about at some gorgeous châteaux? The medieval Breton pile of Château de Suscinio is closest (20 minutes); a little further afield is the ruined 12th-century Château de Ranrouët (30 minutes) away, while those up for longer jaunts can visit the medieval Josselin Castle and its toy museum (50 minutes) and the Château de Comper and its Arthurian Centre (an hour and 10 minutes). Dive further back into the area’s past at Parc de Préhistoire de Bretagne and Kerhinet Historic Village, both within 40 minutes, or spend some time in the present at Branféré Zoo and botanical garden (20 minutes).
