Big Dunk's Valley View Campsite

This is a fab spot for those who favour days of walking or cycling – there are loads of quiet country roads wending their way around the area, and you’re five miles from the Wenford Bridge end of the Camel Trail, an 18-mile traffic-free path along the disused railway line to Padstow. A popular walk from the site takes you through fields and woods for an hour or so to reach the Delabole slate quarry, the oldest working slate quarry in England and once the largest man-made hole in the whole world. Being just a couple of miles from the coast, it’s also easy to hit the coast path or visit some of Cornwall’s seaside attractions, including the fishing village of Port Isaac, atmospheric Tintagel Castle or foodie fave Padstow, all of which are within a half-hour drive.
