One of their recommendations is Rugby School and Museum (10 minutes'), where many believe the self-same game was invented back in the 19th century. They also point out how partial many guests are to spending time at Draycote Water (25 minutes), a nearby reservoir great for fishing, sailing and hiking. Other well-liked waterside spots include Foxton Locks on the Grand Union Canal (30 minutes), where a pub, boating museum and well-marked trails may prove popular. If you've headed off on holiday for a special occasion, you could also hire a narrowboat here and spend your celebratory day serenely sailing through the green Midlands countryside. For something a bit more high-adrenaline, you could spring to attention at Armourgeddon (20 minutes), where you and your crew can drive tanks in epic paintball battles. For those a bit young for such things there's also Drayton Manor Theme Park (40 minutes) with its wide range of age-appropriate rides.
