Great time at Shaw Hall despite the awful weather. The kids loved the park. The drinking water tap on the field was really handy as were the washing up facilities and laundry facility, especially in the wet weather. The bar was warm and friendly and there was evening entertainment. Staff were friendly and helped us when we ran into difficulty starting one of our cars.

Nothing really! The shower block could do with a bit of an upgrade, they were in need of a clean for sure but with camping you wouldn’t expect it to be pristine! We really wanted to stay another night at least but we’re disappointed to learn that the site is only open Friday to Sunday.

This was our third stay at Shaw Hall always had a great time meeting other friendly campers willing to help, this time we had our grandson with us who is five years old ,he made lots of friends to play with , it was just a pity the weather wasn't very good heavy rain but we still enjoyed our stay , will come again when the weather picks up.

Disliked the walk to the toilet from campsite went about 11.00 at night no automatic light came on .

Space and food quality was excellent.

Toilet facilities could do with a refresh. Not many food places nearby.

It was clean a little dated in toilet block but everyone friendly and couldnt do enough for you nice big feild to pick were ever you want to pitch up plenty of space short walk to the toilet block entertainment on site nice food (we had breakfast) reasonably priced little shop on site and nice walk along the canal

Nothing really

Lots of room on a large flat site. Staff were all incredibly welcoming and the site is beautifully well kept. The on site facilities are clean and all camping needs are catered to.
The evening pub entertainment (which was good!) knocked off when stated and the bar noise was well managed - can hear from the camping field but not invasive.

4G/phone signal is rubbish, but obviously not an issue related to the site, just a heads up for if you’re desperate for it. The bar wifi was plenty good enough to access the basics.

This was our second time staying at shaw hall , great staff on site , washing up area with power outlets available , club which we enjoyed.

Showers need a refurbishment
No wi fi and mobile data wouldn’t work here

The restaurant had good food at decent prices and beer was reasonable.

Everything. You are put on a huge field with grass about 10" long so nothing in the tent would stand up, it had 1 tap for drinking water and it was about 300 yards to the 1 toilet and shower block which left a lot to be desired. On arrival at the park you are asked to sign a form with the rules and regulations and on this form it states that there is no toilet paper in the toilets and you will be given one at reception, as I didn't read all of the rules and wasn't given toilet roll at reception the first time I went to use the facilities there was no toilet paper and no soap in the containers. It states on the website that they have a fully stocked shop and we couldn't even get a box of cereal.
