Outdoor adventurers, get ready to rock.
Utah's Archview RV Resort and Campground is a short drive from Moab, the activity town close to the Canyonlands and Arches national parks, where hiking, canyoning, climbing, ziplining, 4X4 driving and mountain biking are among the many heady adventures that await in the surroundings – if you're an outdoorsy sort travelling anywhere around Utah or the western side of the US of A, you'll likely have heard of Moab.
Bed down between all that at Archview, just off Highway 191 and 11 miles from town, and a short drive from the boundaries of the Arches National Park. You'll be among heady views of the national park and its spectacular rock formations, and can hike, bike or take an ATV into the park from this handy location to gape at over 2,000 natural stone arches and other rocky wonders.
The land around Moab is so stunning it's been utilised in many a film set throughout the decades, so you may want to cart along your camera too. Horse riding and stargazing are among the many other local options; if that's not quite active enough, you're also within easy reach of the Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park.
The resort has an outdoor pool for leisurely times at base, along with a playground with slides and climbing frames. A big undercover barbecue area and plenty of picnic tables are on site for eating alfresco: pick up groceries, firewood and gasoline at the well-stocked Archview shop.

Llocs d'interès
Archview is about eight miles from the visitor centre of the Arches National Park, a vast space famed for its sandstone structures. A paved road of 36 miles leads around the park and its stone highlights, stopping off at viewpoints and hiking trails along the way.
Within 11 miles is the other famed local national park, Canyonlands, home to open desert spaces and the rapid waters of the Colorado River and its tributaries. All sorts of sports are popular here, including climbing, hiking, and whitewater rafting around Cataract Canyon; if you'd prefer to drive and sightsee, take the White Rim Road from the most accessible of the park's four districts, Island in the Sky.
The tale of the history, archaeology and paleontology of the region (there's quite a lot) is recounted at the Museum of Moab and at the Moab Giants Dinosaur Park half a mile away, with a prehistoric dinosaur trail to follow as well as a more recently added 5D aquarium.
