In what a privileged place is Malaga's Camping Playa Almayate, surrounded by nature and with direct access to a splendid sandy beach on the eastern Costa del Sol... we see sun, we see sand, we see… sangria…? (Si.)
Pick from plunging into the waters of the beach or into the Camping Playa Almayate saltwater pool when the heat kicks in, or maybe roasting up supper at the communal barbecue area, or lounging around the social area with its wifi…
Other site facilities include a restaurant serving Mediterranean nosh like paella and fried fish alongside its daily menu, a supermarket selling groceries, camping supplies and freshly baked bread daily, and a big sports area to play padel, basketball, football and table tennis (to work off all the paella).
There's also a modern and well-kept amenities block with hot running water, a baby bath and disabled facilities, and a laundry corner with washing machines and a coin-operated tumble dryer.

We're sure we don't need to tell you that the eastern Costa del Sol is a topping spot with a topping amount of things to see and do… as is the location of Camping Playa Almayate, set between the sea and the Maro-Cerro Gordo mountain range.
Like hiking and cycling for one… or trips to the trad and pretty villages of Mudéjar, Vélez Málaga, Torre del Mar and Torrox, or outdoor activities among the mountains, or even to Granada and its Moorish Alhambra palace...
Camping Playa Almayate is also half an hour from the ancient city and modern shopping of Málaga, a topping town that's one of the oldest cities in the world and crammed with sights to see such as Picasso's birthplace, the Picasso Museum, the inner city, the Roman Theatre and the views from the hill of Gibralfaro castle.
A golf course is eight kilometres away at Nerja, and cracking caves are to be seen around this town too.
