Camping Zornića Kuća is found in the country village of Baćevac, around 40 minutes’ drive from Belgrade and inhabiting another, more simple world far away from the bustle of the capital city. Spread over roughly 8.5 acres of hilly Šumadija countryside, the tree-shaded pitches have views to both Mount Kosmaj and Lipovačka Forest. This is a place to relax with the kids, who can wander freely around the site (it’s under 24-hour video surveillance), learn about the countryside and take part in occasional tree-planting sessions. Younger offspring can pet the animals in the mini-zoo, and get up on horseback at the riding school – there’s also a playground as well as organised activities to keep them entertained. You’ll likely want to try the regional food and drink in the site’s restaurant, found in a century-old house surrounded by gardens. You can look forward to local cheeses, homemade pies and ajvar – a dish of smoked peppers and aubergines – as well as janija, a traditional Serbian stew made in a clay pot. Practicalities-wise, facilities include fully serviced grass or gravel pitches, showers, a laundry service and a TV room. Any questions?
