Liked: Super friendly staff, allowed us to arrive after 8pm. Campsite was clean, great facilities and lovely campsite. Restaurant looked great, we just didn’t have time to go and have a drink or meal.

Liked: The setting was beautiful - quiet and natural. The washrooms were spotless. The sites were big. Our motorhome is 7.5 m and we towed a 3 m. mini trailer. The sites were level with some gravel. The restaurant was handy. There is a coffee machine at the entrance. The staff spoke English which was good. Our Italian is minimal. The showers were hot with good pressure. The shuttle bus takes you to the train station which gets you into central Rome or Termini station quickly. Very useful. Train into Rome was €1.70.

Disliked: The WiFi was not strong - up and down a lot You need to supply your own toilet tissue There were no toilet seats - but that is common in Italy The restaurant was very pricey for the quality

Liked: 4.5 should be more accurate. Nice pitches. Quite level for us. Choose our own pitch. All tiered. Clean and tidy. Good shuttle service to the train station. Easy access to Rome via the shuttle/Train. Restaurant looked good it we never tried it. Old sanitary but clean. Showers were hot and didn’t require a push button nonsense.

Disliked: Lack of toilet seats and toilet paper. Possibly in keeping with the Roman theme locally.

Local attractions

Rome and Lake Bracciano are the main attractions around this lovely landscape, both with enough to do to keep you busy for yonks. Among the main highlights in Rome are the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City and St Peter's Basilica, but you'll find a vast amount of ancient architecture to see among its old streets, squares and public parks. Art is a huge deal here too, as showcased at the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, the MAXXI museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art, while threads fans have plenty to pick from among the posh clothing boutiques along the Via dei Condotti. You may be keen for a break after all that… so take the bus from Prima Porta metro station to the beaut waters of Bracciano, one of Italy's biggest lakes and now a protected area making up the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park. Lake activities include canoeing, scuba diving, sailing and swimming; above the water, have a potter around the handsome old town of Bracciano and its medieval castle of Orsini-Odescalchi. Closer to the site, 10 minutes by car will take you to the huge Museo Civico di Zoologia or civic zoo museum with over five million exhibits, next to the Bioparc zoo. Within about 20 minutes' drive, the Santuario Etrusco dell'Apollo archaeological site is a famed Etruscan shrine with tombs and a temple in spectacular setting.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 1 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 21 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches

Units should not be left unoccupied unless previously agreed with the management. Please speak to reception when the need arises, a fee may be charged for unsupervised units.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Pool

Only park guests are authorised to use the pool.
Some facilities require the wearing of swim caps.

Reception

Reception is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. between 01/05 and 30/09.
Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. between 01/10 and 30/04.
Reception is unmanned after 8 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
No vehicle movement between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. If you wish to bring a car along with your motorhome/campervan please select the extra.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 11 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
