  • Family-friendly site in Mandurah, WA, less than an hour south of Perth
  • A 10-minute drive to Ranger Red’s Zoo and Mandurah Foreshore
  • Swimming pools, jumping pillow, pedal carts and kids’ events on site
Less than an hour south of Perth, Mandurah Caravan and Tourist Park is seriously family friendly, with bags of facilities for kids, including swimming pools, playgrounds, pedal-cart rental and a jumping pillow for them to leap around on. You can keep them entertained with the book swap and borrow DVDs for downtime too. As an extra bonus, there are loads of children’s activities – duck races for starters – and seasonal events going off all the time, as well as giant games of chess and quoits to be played – and guess what, there are chocolates, ice cream and lollies in the kiosk at reception. Guests can arrange a day’s fishing or sightseeing through the reception staff, and pick up souvenirs of your stay there as well. You can bring your canine chums on holiday too, and there are lots of dog-friendly walks right from the site. Guests can cook and eat outdoors at the barbecue area, which is all decked out in Balinese style with gazebos for shelter and shade – and here you can also find an internet kiosk and coin-operated laundry. Cook up locally caught crabs and fish in the fully equipped camp kitchen, or bypass the cooking altogether and pick up dinner from one of the food trucks (normally on site during peak periods). If you’ve left something essential behind at home, no problem. The park is a 10-minute drive from Mandurah Ocean Marina, with plenty of specialty shops, market stalls and dining options.

Liked: Hello we actually stayed at your site 11 years ago and forgot how lovely it was. The pool was so welcoming with all the hot weather and we had bee driving most of the day so it cooled us down We had been travelling around for 10 days staying at different sites but out of all of them yours had the the best abd cleanest facilities we had seen some horrible ones it was also lovely and peaceful we are fron the UK and if we ever come again will defiantly use you again.

Disliked: The only downside and this is not a negative comment our pitch 53 had no shade no trees but we survived by positioning the van to get shade and we were able ro sit outside until quite late with the warm weather

From the manager: Hello, How lovely to hear even after 11 years that we are still maintaining a high level of customer experience. Our Staff really appreciate the acknowledgement of their hard work and dedication. It wonderful that you do understand that it has been extreme weather and not every site has shady trees, so perhaps next time you stay we can be more accommodating. We wish you safe travels and look forward to welcoming you once again. Kind Regards from all the team at #MandurahCaravanandTouristPark

Local attractions

If you can even drag the kids away from the jumping pillow, you can treat them to animal-handling sessions at Ranger Red’s Zoo and Conservation Park, or let them loose on trampolines at Flip Out Mandurah. Top it all off with a rumble along Mandurah Foreshore on the Tourist Fun Train (all 10 minutes’ drive). There’s plenty to taste and buy too, with bespoke wine and beer tours showcasing the best of local produce – ask at reception for details. You can also tour the Three Rivers Brewing Company (10 minutes), and round off your visit with tastings in the beer hall, or sample some very special macaroons at Decadent C’s delicious chocolatey café (10 minutes’ walk). For a day out on the ocean, you can choose between dolphin cruises and fishing charters (both 10 minutes’ drive). Elsewhere, it’s worth taking a waterside walk to see the bizarre thrombolites, coral-type organisms growing in the shallows at Lake Clifton (half an hour).
