  • Restored vintage caravan for stays overlooking the scenic Aeron valley
  • A 15-minute drive from Lampeter and 20 from Aberaeron beach
  • Exclusive access to site’s library, movie room and basement bar
Wondering who Jemima is…? Well, she’s most definitely not a human. In fact, she’s not even an animal. She’s a smartly restored 1958 Cygnet touring caravan welcoming you for stays in a fab vintage-inspired space. Jemima and The Secret Garden is set in an elevated position in west Wales’ Aeron valley with memorable views out over fields, hills and woodland. She’s fitted with a fixed double bed, sofa, wardrobe, TV with a DVD player, and a kitchenette, plus booking her gives you exclusive access to certain facilities in the site’s main house – including a basement-level honesty bar and a movie room. Grab a drink and sit on the sofas, stools or at the dining table in the bar, then continue on to the cinema space to squidge up on the spacious corner sofa and watch a film picked out from the DVD selection. A library is upstairs if you’d prefer quiet times with a book on the leather reclining armchair. And what of that secret garden mentioned in the site’s name? Well, that’s a lush woodland area with seating and a table just outside the caravan. The upper garden has spectacular views across the valley and a meadow full of inquisitive alpacas (ask about organised treks with these animals), plus it’s set out with sun loungers, a gas barbecue, a picnic table, a parasol, armchairs, a coffee table and herbs ripe for picking. The lower gardens include much of the same facilities, along with a paddling pool for the dogs and a pet-friendly bed with a sun shade. It’s a fully enclosed, fenced and gated area, so it’s a safe space for four-legged friends to frolic off-lead. A dog bed is installed inside Jemima too and humans haven’t been forgotten either – for guests settling in during nippier months, Jemima is heated and furnished with an electric blanket, luxurious faux fur throws and hot water bottles.
