Wide Horizons Holiday Park is in such a wonderful spot. This coastal park offers a 'birds eye view' of Cardigan Bay. Close to the lovely Georgian town of Aberaeron, the park enjoys an elevated position some 200 feet above sea level. The result is spectacular views as far as the eye can see. You can watch the sun set over the Irish Sea, or marvel in the breathtaking natural surroundings. Wide Horizons offers you the opportunity to escape from it all and relax in the comfort of your own holiday home. If you enjoy walking, then why not step onto the coastal path, via our walk bridge, directly from the holiday park - it takes you into either the port town of Aberaeron or quaint little fishing town of New Quay. Or maybe take the dog for a stroll, which is a very popular attraction for all of our guests.

Local attractions

On your doorstop is the historic town of Aberearon. The town retains its Georgian charm with elegant, brightly painted town houses and atmospheric shops. You must try some of the traditional food and have a drink in one of the pleasant pubs. It is still a focal point for the rural communities in mid-Cardiganshire. The town also has an excellent Sea Aquarium and Craft Centre. Aberearon has a long history as a fishing port and visitors from all over the world come and experience for themselves the 'Jewel of Cardigan Bay', taking with them a little bit of it in their hearts as they leave. Many believe that the quaint fishing village of New Quay is the 'cliff-perched town at the far end of Wales' immortalised by Dylan Thomas in his classic 'Under Milk Wood'. Dylan Thomas lived in New Quay in 1944 in a little house called 'Majoda' atop the cliffs opposite the town. Our superb location means that you are within easy reach of many of Cardiganshire's most visited tourist attractions and sandy beaches. Within 30 minutes' drive you have Cardigan, with its chic boutiques, and Aberystwyth, boasting one of the world's biggest camera obscuras. At Quay Parade, treat yourself to lunch or afternoon tea at the Hive on the Quay. Always worth doing is taking a boat trip to explore Cardigan Bay's marine ecology or coastal voyage along the Heritage Coast from the harbour. Cardigan Bays is home to one of only two resident groups of Bottlenose Dolphins in the UK. Estimates to the number of Dolphins in the Bay vary but a figure of 127 is often quoted, it is possible to spot dolphins almost anywhere as you explore the beautiful coast of Cardigan Bay.
