  • Wild camping farm site in Cornwall, under two miles from pebble beach
  • A 35-minte drive to the Eden Project and Plymouth
  • Solar-panelled lights and chargers; feed the farm animals on site
The animals at Cornwall's Pendrym Barton Farm are very well looked after – and so are the guests that come along to stay at the pitches on site too. Arrive at this 35-acre site near Looe and you’ll be greeted by donkeys, goats, Shetland ponies and other assorted farm animals… have a chat with owner Sallie and she'll let you stroke them or help out with feeding (now that's a way to make new friends…) For your own needs, pick your grassy patch and ready yourself for a wild camping retreat in the Cornish countryside, within 35 minutes’ drive of Plymouth and five minutes’ drive from the nearest beach and the historic fishing village of Looe. While there’s no electricity on site, you’ll have access to solar-panelled lights and chargers plus lanterns and torches to find your way in the dark. There's a toilet block on site and for more facilities, guests can visit the neighbouring holiday park (available at a membership price). Purchase wood and charcoal locally for barbecues provided and campfires. Handily, there are several cafés, restaurants and bars for a riverside or seaside rest, plus watersports and a shallow sea pool at the beach, all within five minutes’ drive.
