The Original Hut Company Overview

Set on a farm in the tiny village of Bodiam, these unique huts, based on the idea of an old shepherd's hut, offer a beautiful, comfortable and sustainable Glamping experience. Brand new for 2012 we are also running a beautiful Boutique campsite complete with a Communal cook house which houses a huge inglnook fire to cosy up in the evenings. An outside fire pit and beautiful wash hut, thish houses 2 loos 2 showers and washing uo facilities

The huts are constructed using recycled chassis from touring caravans (this also makes them considerably more manoeuvrable than those on traditional iron wheels), the roofs are made from an old corn bin, and the timber for the work tops and seat covers is sourced from sustainable woods on the farm (as is the wood for the fires).

Glimpse at the beautiful Bodiam Castle through the trees, with steam trains from the Kent and East Sussex railway chugging in behind and the River Rother meandering quietly through the bottom of the site, the location could not be more idyllic.

Each hut offers accommodation for up to four or Five people through bunks and a double bed. Cooking facilities are provided through a gas hob and a fire pit outside, and tiny little woodburners offer cozy and sustainable heating. A separate hut offers piping hot showers toilets and washing facilities.
