  • Peaceful setting a mile from Elton and five miles from Belvoir Castle
  • Well-stocked tackle shop on site
Fancy catching some Nottinghamshire coarse fishing? Bring your rod to Janson Fishery Caravan and Camping in Elton near Nottingham for angling days aplenty, in peaceful and green surroundings within the Vale of Belvoir Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This is an excellent spot for anglers, with a full five lakes on site (three match and two pleasure). Bag your day ticket to cast off in one of the pleasure lakes including Tomo's Lake, with carp into double figures as well as barbel, tench, roach, rudd and golden orfe all to land, and Donut Pool, a mixed lake with ide, barbel and again carp up to double figures. There are regular match days at least twice a week too (booking for these is essential), and all types of anglers will find all types of kit and bait needed in the well-stocked tackle shop. A café is open on match days for filled cobs, full English breakfasts and hot and cold drinks, to have indoors or at the outside seating area. Pick up self-catering supplies close by in Bingham: barbecues are allowed on site. Janson Fishery Caravan and Camping has toilets, showers and a chemical disposal facility.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (lake view)

Liked: Lovely well run site. We were greeted on arrival, despite the bitter cold. We were on the pitches with a lake view and enjoyed watching the fishing - such a lovely relaxing location. Many of the other campers were fishing and were long standing repeat visitors. The facilities were spotless - the cleanest I have ever seen.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (lake view)

Liked: nice site with plenty of lakes for fishing, friendly staff, electric and wifi included, adult only and quite a reasonable cost, level gravel pitchs

Disliked: road noise, what looks like a little used country road right behind the pitchs is a very well used short cut from first to last thing, pidgeons that tango across your roof from about 6am-recommend earplugs if your a light sleeper
