喜欢 Spacious eco friendly campsite with space to roam and explore. Sunset views are incredible, go up to the ruins to watch it on a clear evening! Customer service was good and we were able to freeze our ice blocks for our cooler which was ideal. A kind fellow camper(s) put our belongings back after the wind blew down our tent whilst we were out which was excellent - shout out to them. I’d say that the site is great for those looking to experience eco friendly living with kids, it’s a great learning adventure for them. Loads of space to run, play and explore.

不喜欢 One night was incredibly windy, which is obviously out of the control of the campsite owners and operators, but just a heads up, pick your spot wisely. Honestly the composting toilets aren’t as bad as you would expect. Showers on the other hand were cold but really, it wasn’t that much of a big deal for me and the rest of my camping party said that their showers were hot so maybe I drew the short straw. Road to enter the site is a bit bumpy but there seems to be alternative tracks on the grass, watch out for the sheep though 🐑✨

喜欢 Great views of Eryri and the mountains. Close proximity to Newborough Beach (would recommend trying the ice cream van there). Managed to see a variety of birds swooping about, geese, buzzards etc Good customer service from the guys on site, always on hand if there’s an issue. The facilities are basic but sufficient. I liked that there was a box of toiletries (in the women’s toilet) that could be used in case you needed (toothbrush, deodorant, period pads etc) - excellent idea! Budget friendly, relaxed atmosphere, easy going. No WiFi offered however signal was good enough for us.

不喜欢 Campsite is a field and pitches are allocated on a first come first serve basis. If you need to leave the site for any reason your pitch is not reserved, which tbh was fine for us this time however I could see if being inconvenient for longer stays or for people who like to know where to put themselves. There was only one shower (although two shower heads within??) which again, wasn’t an issue for us during our stay but upgrading to a couple of showers would make this site better I think :)

喜欢 Customer service great Location great Very peaceful Lovely flat pitch Immaculate facilities My partner loves the road cycling in the area Not sure about WiFi as never wanted or needed it, turn your phone off and relax 🙂 Had good enough phone signal if needed
